Ok I'm gonna go with a 4 vis project, (why because MOST 6 vis projects are just to damn busy, and if you go for a 4 vis first, and decide LATER you wanna do a 6 vis you have a jump on the project) So someone said I should explain my reasoning on why I say make single vis for your starter batch instead of 2 carry parents. If you generate a single vis parent, you can then BREED the 2 carries as often as you want to build a good sized breeding pool for the rest of the chain :)

We'll need 8 regular essences.
1. Gets Visible Trait A
2. Gets visible Trait B
3. gets visible trait C
4. gets visible trait D
5. Visible Trait A
6. visible Trait B
7. Visible Trait C
8. Visible Traits D

Now you will paid them up like this
1+2
3+4
5+6
7+8

because they ALL have visibles they will have babies with carrys!

Baby 1. Carries A and B
baby 2. Carries C and D
baby 3. Carries A and B
baby 4. Carries C and D

Now you breed Baby 1 and Baby 3 together - probably Visible A and B
Baby 2 and baby 4 - Probable Visible C and D

breed THOSE babies together. you have carries A B C D

Now.. you turn around and breed THAT baby to any females you have. (or males if it's a girl) with the carries, (now we're going for visibles)

So you MAY end up with a 2v2c out of it. at that point you breed that one back to one of the others who has carries that match the carries
if you're VERY lucky you will end up with an opposite sex that has 2v2c who can breed to your 4 carry baby from earlier
NOW you have a chance of a 4 vis.

Now this was confusing to a couple people because they didn't know what traits were. So I made this little list up as well.

for sake of clarity. LOL

We have a dog! We want that dog to have "Spots" "Stripes" "Waggy Tail" and "Big Nose" for traits (they can be in whatever slot you want gene/mut wise ok?)

For us to get a doggy with those..

1. Doggy has Visible Spots.
2. Doggy has Visible Stripes
3. Doggy has Visible Waggy Tail
4. Doggy has Visible Big Nose
5. Doggy has Visible Spots
6. Doggy has Visible Stripes
7. Doggy has Visible Waggy Tail
8. Doggy has Visible Big Nose.

And for those who like to SEE what they're looking at. I also did a writeup in Excell to help hopefully :)

I've seen this before. o:

I graphed it out on a map because I'm on vacation and I can't sleep aha.

Only notes I'd add:

-takes 8 regular essences when you can just generate 4 pets that carry ab or cd

-in reference to my green text at the lower right corner, you can breed a pair of AB and CD, wait 3-7 days, then breed again for another pair of AB and CD. The offspring from the second pair will be unrelated to the offspring from the first pair, thus you can have an abcd mating with abcd.

-the 2vis2carry idea isn't bad, though it's more risky than breeding pairs of 2vis to make 4carries.

Ty c:

I actually like drawing out genetic maps.
I have a bunch of em in my project thread

From how to make a 4vis with 3 enhanced essences to how to make a 6vis with 3 enhanced essences. c:
