I got my first Sylesti yesterday,and it's an adolescent, but I got another about 3 hours ago, and it's already an adult. Any idea on why this happened, and when do sylestis normally become adults(assuming my first is normal)?

@Eclipse
It was a captured pet. Captured pets can be Adolescents or Adults. The "Age" is really just an indicator of how long it's been since it was "created". But pets in the wild can be created as Adults.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

I have a question about captured adolescent pets. do you have to wait the full 18 days for them to mature to adults or is is just going to be 6 (the difference between an adolescent and an adult)?

Nope, 18 days between the first day of adolescence to the first day of adulthood.

But Adolescent captured pets may be at any stage in that progress. Sometimes they are minutes from adulthood and sometimes they may be the full 18 days away. With captured pets it can be different.
