So I have two pets that refuse to breed with each other and I don't know why. They are both adults and both the same species so I do not understand why they will not breed. I am very confused, any ideas on why this is happening?

Are they siblings?

Or parent and child?
Either will effect the breeding.

I'm having the same issue and these are with pets that I have bred a few times before.

The breeding check is finally active I think, I saw it on some other thread, so no more inbreeding. OuO

Correct.
This was put in place awhile ago, however it wasn't working properly.
When it finally came to our attention that inbreeding (to our standards) was possible, I fixed the issue.
I apologize for the confusion, but it should be set in stone from here on.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm a little confused by the inbreeding however.
Let's say I have 3 pets, A, B and C.
Will I be able to breed A and B's offspring with A and C's offspring?

No it doesn't I thought it worked but that was prior to the fix, now the pets that I mated together before refuse to do so now. They have different mothers.

Basically if they share a parent they can't breed.
