The Forbidden Glade

As you travel through the Corliean Forest, you notice the path beginning to narrow. The birds no longer sing, the sun no longer shines through the leaves of the tall fir trees. An almost eerie hush falls over the area, as though all sound had been stripped from the world. Continuing on, you notice a wooden sign that appears to have been around since the dawn of time. Through the heavy moss you can just barely make out the words "The Forbidden Glade".

"If you are going to enter the Glade, be sure you have your wits about you."

The voice seems to come out of nowhere. Though soft, it cuts through the silence as a knife slices through wet paper. A mare of blue steps out of the mist and looks at you, her dark eyes shining at you as her tail flicks from left to right. Blowing through her nostrils, she stamps one hoof and looks towards the strange cobblestone path that leads towards the Glade.

"You never know what you'll find in there. But if you really wish to enter, follow me and stay close."

She takes a few steps towards the path before looking back at you and shaking her head.

"I hope you know what you're getting yourself into."

With those words, she starts down the path, her hooves making no noise on the cobblestone. The longer you walk, the darker it gets. The mare stops and pushes a low hanging branch out of the way, allowing you to enter the Glade.

"Welcome to the Glade." She says in a voice that holds tones of a mysterious emotion.
