At what level can I add another pet to my party? I can have two at most now, and I'm stuck on Lord Talon and his pets.

You can buy a third party slot in Sanctuary of Saerielle, which is in Umbra Forest.

And I'm guessing I have to defeat Lord Talon and his pets before I get there?

Darn, mare two battle pets are level 22 and 23 and I still can't beat his pets.

#1 recommendation is to improve the gear on your pets. You have a lot of uncommon (green) gear, you should consider upgrading to some higher quality stuff which you can find on the trade broker for fairly cheap. You'll want at least rare (blue) but epic (purple) and legendary (orange) wouldn't be a bad idea if you can find some.
Also, you pet Clary's highest stat is strength, but her relic equipment boost her magical damage instead of her physical. Because of that, she's not going to be doing much damage at all, and all those points in str are being wasted. You should switch out that relic for one that boosts physical dmg instead.

@Bopsie,
You have to beat him if you're still in the bandit camp, but not the dungeon.
I took a look at your pets and I noticed that they are wearing low level gear and also for example...your pet Clary is using a magical damage relic but her highest stat is strength. You would want to give her a physical damage relic and make sure that she has her proficiency points in a physical tree. Jace also has spare leveling up points that you need to spend on him.
I have went ahead and bought gear from the trade broker and sent it to you. This gear should significantly help out, and make sure to give the correct relics to the correct pets in terms of stats. If you're unhappy with their stats you can always restat them.
I would recommend putting all their proficiency points at the start in health and then either put all of their level up points in health or to split it between strength/health or intellect/health depending on what tree you pick for them. Note though...that doing the above will be sufficient enough in the storyline...but when you get later into the game doing things like the Arena you will most likely need to stat them differently.
