So, I just got done with the Fungus Grove quest, and got the reward from the Fairy Queen, but when I returned to Esior's Haven, the dialogue with the sheriff didn't trigger. Is there something that I did wrong? Or is there someplace I need to go for it to trigger?

Which quest are you referring to? Perhaps you need to check your mission log again. If that's not the case, try exploring again a couple times in the area. Sometimes that will trigger the storyline.
