Okay, whenever I try to open my satchels it says I can't do that with a full inventory, the only thing I have in my inventory besides the four satchels (two of each kind) is a standard genetic test kit.
It won't let me use my genetic test kit either, how do I do that? I already tried using it from my pet's page.

For the satchels, you should check and see if your equipment inventory, which is separate from your main inventory, is full. If it is then you won't be able to open satchels, because equipment is a possible reward from them.

For the genetic testing kit, which pets are you trying to use it on? You are right, you should be able to use it from the pets profile page, and if it's an available option a "genetic test" button will appear right above the manage pet button. It won't work on generated pets though, since you already know all their genetic info

Thanks :)
Neither of my inventories are full, but I was trying to use the genetic test on a generated pet.

The genetic kit won't work on a generated pet. Since you generated it, the genes are already known. It is to be used on captured Sylesti from the wild to reveal carried genes. Visible traits will be obvious, but if the Sylesti has green stars and no visible genes, it means it has 2 'hidden' traits. These traits can be brought out in offspring by mating to another carrier or visible presenter of the same genes. Hope this helps!
