Well, it depends on what the project is, really.
> Theme or not-themed/personal project
> What's the interest like in your goal result/ the original theme (some themes are just plain worth more than others, and with personal projects it comes down to other people's liking of the final result's coloursheme/traits)
> what is the end result? (Specific traits, stats)
Max stats tend to fetch a minimum of 250k, but people will often be looking for appearance in their pet (since these are pets that are likely to be in a battle team, and thus seen often) so you want to do interest checks for the potential final design before throwing yourself into doing a max stat project
Most regular wild themes don't tend to fetch a very high price (1k-10k is common), and low-vis offspring aren't likely to either (unlikely to go for over 15k)
Exclusives and Majestics tend to fetch higher. High-vis majestics tend to command somewhat respectable prices (though you do sometimes have unfortunate cases like the emperor's dragon nixi maj theme. I'm not entirely sure what happened, but I suppose some people got to 4vis and were then completely indiscriminate about selling fertile offspring, which resulted in a ludicrous surplus and their value being tanked through the floor. The fact that they're now worth about an average of 10k gold is an improvement from this time last year, honestly. Maybe this patriotic fest will get rid of a few more of them and get their worth a bit higher)
What are some examples of what you're trying to sell?
Theme projects? Personal Projects?

As in, provide images/descriptions of what it is that you intend to sell, examples of the final project goals. Obviously I can't even begin to put forth a guess of potential value if I don't know what those are

Hello again, Fangie! (I know, I'm messaging/replying to alot of your posts. Sorry.)
I just wanted to give you a couple of tips on your first thread linked (The Themed Pet Shop).
1. A great way to attract a couple of different types of customers is to make sure you have your thread in order. (I.e. Alphabetical, numerical, etc.). I noticed that though you have your overview of species listed in order, your thread itself is a little out of wack with your Luporas listed after your Ryoris. Same goes with your species themed lists (i.e. your Blackswallow Tail Aeridini is listed after your Royal Viola Aeridini, etc.)
2. Another thing that I've noticed over time on other sales posts, and from a friend that pointed it out to me as well, is that some customers like to have links to click on that take them straight to the species that they want. If you would like help linking specific thread replies into your main overview, just ask and I'll explain as well as I had it explained to me.
3. Some people like to see what offspring they might be getting before they will buy one. As a result, if you have complete pairs, you are able to list an image overviewing the looks they could receive with an offspring.
4. Last thing, some people like to be able to look and see what carried traits the parents have before they buy an offspring. All you'll have to do for this one is to make a clickable image for the pet.
If you would like any help, please let me know and I'll explain how to do the things you need help with to the best of my ability. (Or you can discard this reply. Up to you, really. I don't mind either way.)

all of the things listed in this thread have been correct so far, and will be very helpful for you in the future, but one key thing not to forget is having a clean, visually appealing set up.
is not exactly professional and visually appealing, however something like this does look good, and makes the link pop out of the text in a good way.
another good thing is having something like a table of contents with links that people can click to get places quickly,
hope this helps ^^

the thing is, none of those are Projects, and there are no links to the pets in question on the pages, so people can't go and check their genes or anything.
Those are primarily random themed pets, many which are carry-only. Are the ones in the posts the ones that are being sold? or are their offspring the ones being sold? Or both?
Assuming all the themes are straight 'for sale', then some of them, like 20k for a 3v grim rose, are a severe underprice. To maintain their value, prices 50k+ would be better for that one (note that there's a whole bunch of fertile 3-4vis GR's for 20-30k all from one player? This is the sort of thing that tanked ED nixi value and it is making me die inside a bit.)
Some others, but certainly not all because I don't want to spend two hours looking through Advanced Search: A raspberry cream nixi regardless of tagged or pb, and regardless of # of traits, should be going for 15k minimum. Same for Ladybug aeri.
The natureguard aeris... 10k? the lowest price for one on AS is 65k.
Meanwhile, you're charging 20-60k for some themes that can be bought for 2-5k, like cc morks and the nytes
(like, you might be able to charge 20k for a 2v epic tagged, but these are pets with no link or description- I don't know if any of these are tagged or pb, or what traits they have beyond not being vis)
You'll want to check Advanced Search for each thing you're selling before pricing, looking through the first page or 3 to get an idea of the usual price.
(also note that many people will be snapping up all the lower-priced sale pets that are older than 42 days (or are close to) soon, to release them, which'll skew the numbers. Patriotic Fest starts very soon, and if it's like the last few, then you'll be able to get points for releasing pets over 42 days. Really helps clean out all the cheaper pets)
As to the 'project' pets... those, as said, aren't project pets. That's a random pair puffadores with random traits, none of which overlap (as in, they aren't the same traits, not that they aren't in the same slots) with random colours and unknown stats that are being bred together.
A Project has to have focus; The final breeding pair(s) that produce the offspring that you sell should have a set, easily predictable outcome. Even with Stat Projects, the final pair(s) used to breed out the offspring that get sold will typically be dyed to a specific set of colours.
Breeding a 2v/2c male and a 6v untested female can result in anything from a 2v/4c to a 4v/2c, with no certainty on what the trait count will be, or what traits they'll have
(I'm looking at the female's parents, unfortunately neither of them are tested either, but at the very least I can determine that she has Arcanic Wings hidden under her fairy wings (since one of her parents has them vis, and at a glance I can't see any other less-dominant wings visible in the lineage that might be hidden in her parents), and since the male has angelic wings, any offspring could have either fairy or arcanic wings vis)
I can't really provide my own main project as an example, since they're PB nytes and I'm waiting for the theme updates to be finalised an released before I decide how I'm going to go about updating them, so they currently have no traits on. Aside from the nytes from our Project, all I have is Regen pairs that I made just to have them, but I suppose they'll work as a visual;
Our Starry Night puffs that we designed because our friend had an idea
and goyder river rainbowfish venes that I made in memory of a pet
Note matching traits and colours (These aren't Project pets really, since there was no Project involved for me, just regenning. A Project is time and effort, money and dedication, and generations spent hoping rng will be nice quickly)

4. Last thing, some people like to be able to look and see what carried traits the parents have before they buy an offspring. All you'll have to do for this one is to make a clickable image for the pet.
Of course! I'll explain everything to the best of my ability! Or, if you'd like, I can set you up a shop in the Pet Sales using which pets you have listed in your original pet shop.
1. Basically, what you want to do for your organization is to make sure your species are in alphabetical order as it is listed on the list of species in the generator. After you have your species in order, you'll want to go through and alphabetize your sylesti's based on their theme names.
2. In order to link the post that leads to the species someone wants, you have to look in the top right corner of the reply. In the top right corner, there is a little set of words that say "Post #". Click it. Then highlight the website URL and copy it. Afterwards, go back to your main overview and click to edit it. Highlight the corresponding species name. Click the "URL=" button, paste the copied URL in it and click confirm. Do this for each post you want linked into the main overview.
3. To do this, open a new Sylestia tab. Go to your "Breeding Grounds". Click on the species you want then find the corresponding themed pairs. This only really works if you have both the male and female and if both are adults. Afterwards, on the bottom you'll see two buttons. The one on the left will say "Test Breed", while the one on the right will say "Breed Pair". Make sure you click which gender you would like to see (male or female) and then click "Test Breed". This should load up three images: egg, hatchling, and adult/adolescent. Copy the adult image's URL. Go back to your post, find the corresponding themed, edit the post and add the image(s) below the themed pair.
4. To make an image clickable, go to your pets profile. Copy its URL, go back to your post and find the corresponding image. Get rid of the two things on the end that make it an image, so the "img" and the "/img" in the bar-rackets ([]). Then, highlight the image URL and click "IMG=". Past the pet's profile link in the box and click confirm.
And that's all you gotta do. :) Lemme know if you need any help.
