I am having trouble figuring out how to use.
I am told to copy and paste the pet's URL into the Generator to make it easier then paste the URL back to the Re-Generator.

First off..and sorry if I sound dense but..what do they mean by 'Pet URL'? Is that the url at the top of the page when you go to your stable and view a pet?

When I copy and paste the url I get a page error or something.

So..could someone please tell me how this thing works and why can't we just use the generator like we used to?

the URL refers to the image address, which you get when you right click an image of a pet and select "copy image address" on the drop down menu. as for using the generator like before -i'm assuming you are regenerating some pets - i think it is because the regeneration is specific to the certain pet and therefore there are certain things you cannot change (gender, certain genes, Etc)

Well..what baffles me is that I have some pets that can be regenerated and has that big green button under it so I click it and instead of going to the generator I get to his Re-Generator V2 which says it is a test version or something.

so how am I supposed to copy and paste this in to the generator?

So I just went to the 'Regenerator V2' and copied the last part of the ID in the address window which is this:
?pet_id=6130 172

(minus the space) into the end of the generator addy and nothing happened.

it's been a long time since i used the re-generator, so i'm not sure if it works the same as the regular generator, but in the regular generator there is a "load design by URL" and you click that button, paste the entire link (that whole mess of text) in the space, and click "load", then it will load the pet into the generator.

Thanks. I just found the button WAY down at the bottom. Odd thing is when I copied the URL the generator doesn't show all the trait points that the pet has but I think I can figure it out.

Regenerator v2 is specific to nytes (currently) for regenerating their traits, while the regular regenerator (v1) is for regenerating colours (and the traits of other species that were revamped prior to the nytes)

This is because the nytes needed a different coding setup for the way their traits were to be regenned- that is keeping the array of traits specific to each nyte available as close to what they had prior to revamp (rather than a pick of a) complete free-for-all amongst all pre-revamp traits or b) slot is locked and does not allow for the trait to be changed) and also allowing for the fact that hidden traits exist (something regenerator v1 doesn't have the coding to deal with)

Nytes that can regen traits go through regenerator v2, then once traits have been assigned get access to regenerator v1 for their colour regen (if they had no traits, then they just go straight to v1)


yes, the image code that you copy into the generator is the long one- the one that has the image information like what species it is, its colours, traits, etc (if you go into generator v2, you can pick from the traits a nyte has access to, wait for the image to reload showing what they'd look like, then copy THAT to the generator to play with colours- just copying the base pet image pre-regen to the generator is copying a pet image with no trait points assigned).
Pet ID numbers don't mean anything to the generator

One more question..how do I then go back to the Re-Gen page with my newly regenerated pet? Do I have to save the design (which costs plenty) then reload? I just don't get it.
