Title says it all.

In my limited knowledge, a super stat is just a max stat with 200 mana, is that correct?

A max stat has all stats max
2000 hp, 200 mana and 100 all other stats
Such as this girl:

A super has that plus wild stats that are show as a + number after the base stat

Interesting, how does one get wild stats through breeding? If I remember correctly, wild stats come from tamed pets and decrease with each bred generation.

They do- the drop for str/int/dex/agi is ~3-4 points per stat per generation (HP seems to be a 50-80 point drop, mana 10-30, just looking between my main progenitor and her 11 children.)
However, starting with a high wild-stat pet can mitigate this (obviously if you start with a pet with low wild stats, like a regular unthemed rare, where you only have grove stats of +9-+11 to work with, that's going to vanish real fast), along with breeding immediately to max stats and praying for good rng

The wild stats for non-hatched pets of
Epic rarity:
Unthemed= +20-+30
Themed= +30-+45
and Legendary and Mythic rarities:
Unthemed= +30-+45
Themed= +50-+75
are, how to say, quite good

So you take your high rarity grove pet and cross it with a max stat (or near-max stat)
and roll the dice, pick the pets that got the closest to full-max, and then cross those with more max stats until you have supermax (you could just get real lucky in that first generation, but using multiple generations does give you more pets to work with. Or you could just start with a male (whether caught or Flipped) and start with that so your grove pet doesn't have cooldown, I suppose. Let it not be said that I myself necessarily take the most sensible path with my own projects)

(on crossing two pets with grove stats: it will randomly pick a number from between the two parent stats, THEN subtract the generational deduction; eg, parent A has +7, parent B has +40, it'll pick any number between those then subtract, so you could get a +3 or a +37 or anywhere in-between. When only one parent has a grove stat, it just takes that parent's grove stat and subtracts from that, ignoring the +0 from the other parent)

So, judging from this, it is actually better to take just *one* grove stat rather than two? (not that I will ever breed for stats :P just a general statement) Because then the wild stats just suffer from the generational decline, rather than having to potentially get a roll close to the lower grove stats and then suffering from the generational decline.

pretty much- mine have such low dex purely because mine also have an epic in their lineage and the ones I used to breed rolled closer to hers than the legendary's (to be fair I think I was trying to get more traits into the lineage in expectancy for the nyte revamp and she was the best I had available to me)
