It's summertime, when everyone would like to hit the beach . . .
. . . including the Deep Ones.
Of course, the Deep Ones visit beaches by coming from the other direction, up out of the water. What is a Deep One? To quote The H. P. Lovecraft Wiki--
"The Deep Ones are creatures in the Cthulhu Mythos of H.P. Lovecraft. They made their debut in Lovecraft's 1931 novella "The Shadow Over Innsmouth." They are described as being an ocean-dwelling race, as evidenced by their name . . . They entered a contract with the people of Innsmouth to keep the fish plentiful in their area. They also seem to have a supply of gold artifacts of unearthly design . . . Although the Deep One hybrid offspring are born with the appearance of a normal human being, they gradually assume the appearance of their Deep One ancestors." They also think the occasional human is tasty.
So here's a young hybrid Deep One, out to have a fun day on a summer beach. He wore his glittering headpiece of alien gold, he polished his scales, and he has found a snack.
However, in this image, I fear we are seeing him after he has stayed out too late, because one of Great Cthulhu's minions is reaching out his tentacles to retrieve the little scamp and take him home. Ah, to be young in summertime . . .

I was really inspired by the wings. They're probably one of my absolute favorite items in the wardrobe. My overall theme is hodge-podge but the goal of the look is something Egyptian mixed with a little bit of the Lost City of Atlantis, two of my favorite things!

When I think of summer, I think of water because I love to swim and so I decided to create a kind of goddess of the deep. This is Maji and her trusty sidekick Feren. She is one of Poseidons many daughters, and she has the power to heal all sea creatures.

Sea Guardian Maria
As a sea guardian, her duty is to protect the ocean from all sorts of things whether it's pollution from humans or terrible, dark monsters that invade from other realms. She is joined by her many sisters who share in this endless struggle.
