So, I feel really out of the loop here on Sylestia. All the time, I see people on the chat greeting each other and are so familiar with each other. I've been trying to be more social but it just seems the farthest I can get is acquaintance. I know that it takes a long time to become as close as some people are on here, but everything people say to me just feel so cold, like they're kind of obligated to respond to me. Of course, this is most likely not the truth, and I'm just over-exaggerating things but it throws me off. I feel like when I do something in the chat that isn't allowed (spamming, all caps) I disappoint the people around me and it hurts. I know that it's just a game, but I was always a people-pleaser deep in my heart and I hate it when people don't like me or my actions. Plus, I really don't know that much about Sylestia and how to navigate around it in general, especially during the fests. I don't have very many friends in real life, and the internet is supposed to help because you aren't speaking to people face-to-face, meaning you can be less shy with your actions. I guess it's kind of true for me, but I still am too scared to properly talk in case I embarrass myself, or say something some doesn't like. Today, I was asking for catas to do the fundle, but I never really understood how hard it was to get all of them. A player lowkey kind of accused me of getting others to do the work for me, and it hurt.

I'm probably making things too dramatic, but I just wanted to speak up. Sorry for wasting your time.

@cana, I'm really sorry to hear about your teacher being an idiot who doesn't appreciate how much and how hard you practiced this song of yours. I can't personally say I've ever tried that hard for something but I do know how much it sucks for teachers/people in charge to play favourites and pick someone less qualified just because they like the other person better than you. You shouldn't give up though!! Not if you don't really want to. Maybe take a break for a bit, but don't quit altogether, especially since it sounds like playing is something you genuinely enjoy (usually)

@jump, okay, first of all, who the hell implied that you were trying to get others to do all your work for you, because I will actually fight them. So many people ask around for catas and task help and they choose you to pick on? So not cool. Like, you are literally not the only person seeking help and they should know getting catas is looking to be extra difficult this year. And the thing about being left out in chat... I'm really not sure what I can do to help you there except tell you to just go for it and keep inserting yourself into conversations (as much as you're comfortable with) until people start responding properly, and they will eventually because you're really cool to talk to

I only have 2 real friends, one IRL and one on wattpad (at least, I hope) And tbh I'm too shy to make more bc people might not like me. I feel awkward on discord and other chatrooms, i feel awkward at group sleepovers, I feel awkward writing this thing! The reason why I almost always type in a formal tone is because the real way I type is... Kinda cringy. Go to my wall on wattpad if you dont believe me.
