Anubis watched her muscles tense and as soon as her feet cleared the ground for the jump, he knew it was an airborne attack. He ducked and danced sideways, allowing her to fly past him, then stuck his staff out, jabbing her in the ankle, tripping her midair so she would either crash land on her face or have a hard time landing either way. "Interesting." He muttered as he circled back, still watching.

Velos gave a small smile and fell silent, not sure what to reply with or add. he looked around. There were a lot of people training, they were jsut standing around and chatting. he felt uncomfortable and just slipped to the side, opening the door to the tech room. he looked at Leken to see if she was coming. he guessed he'd check which sport team was playing at the field tonight, maybe buy her a pair of tickets.

Prism did not expect that at all. She did indeed land on her face, and she brushed some blood away from her nose. She got back up and turned to face him again.
She realized her tactics wouldn't work on him. He could predict what type of moves she was making. She thought for a moment, she shouldn't go airborne, that was too easy of a dodge for him, she would either need to go low, or try something new, or even just go defense, because offense was clearly not working.
She got ready again, and instead of going airborne, she stayed on the ground, focusing more on keeping her guard up, and not so much actually doing damage. She ran towards him, her swords ready, and she zigzagged, which could help, but she wasn't so sure yet.

Red jumped, surprised. She had been so caught up in her own thoughts that she hadn't noticed another girl passing by until now. "Oh, I'm Red," She replied, looking down at the floor and fiddling with her fingers. Freyja was the name of her partner, she remembered, and looked up to see a girl a little taller than her with red hair and grey eyes similar to her own. She looked nice enough, hopefully they would get along okay. "You're my partner, right?"

"Yes, I think so. I have been told that my new partner name's was Red." Freyja answered with a smile. "Nice to meet you. You are new in the orphanage too, right? Where are you from?"
It was probably a good thing if they learned a bit about each other, if they had to work together in a team.
"Do you know what mission... Or work we are supposed to do?"

"So...... Uh... See you later then?" Leken smiled slightly in effort to break the awkward pause. She jumped down, becoming an otter the moment she landed, and scurried back upstairs, where she pushed the door closed and curled up on her pillows, decorated blue. One was a soccer ball patterned round one. But she was too tired to be picky and immediately fell asleep to take a nap.

Anubis furrowed his brow, concentrating as he tried to read her incoming movements. She was zigzagging, even before she was close to him, so he didn't know exactly what to expect. He noted that she was running and her swords were up in a semi-defensive state so he planted his feet into the ground, using her speed to his advantage. As she prepared to make her next turn for a zigzag, he reached out with his staff and with the curved end of it, hooked it around the hilt of one of her swords, swinging it in a wide circle, knowing her momentum would be sufficient to at least allow him to fling her away if she kept hold of the sword. If she let go of the sword, that would at least mean he'd disarmed her enough.
At this point thoughts were quickly running through his head, processing information at high speeds. So Prism was a speed attacker, as far as he could see, and relied somewhat on agility. Zigzagging proved that she had some control over her movements, although the airborne attack didn't seem to fit in. He narrowed his eyes, continuing to observe.

Prism had expected at one point for him to try and disarm one of her swords, but she was equally skilled with two swords, as she was skilled with one.
She knew she was weak, and relied mostly and speed and agility, but sometimes it worked out. She did her best to keep her grip on the other sword, but it was sent flying towards a wall. She kept her zigzagging, she had to be unpredictable, so she switched the direction of her zigzagging, still only with one sword. She positioned her sword to make a strike, and went for it.

Anubis had been expecting a straight attack from her sooner or later, so he was not surprised when she did. When she struck, he positioned himself in such a way so he could take on the force straight on, skidding backwards a couple of centimeters as he intercepted the sword with his staff, the sound of a clang reverberating through the place. The moment his staff made contact with her remaining sword, he drew a circle with his staff, once again hooking onto the hilt. He tugged it towards him, and added with the force of the strike, it should bring Prism flying towards him and Anubis used this chance to turn around, step within the swing range of her katana and attempt to ram her backwards using his shoulder.

Prism once again, failed to make the attack. She grit her teeth in frustration. If she was battling a Beetle right now, she would be dead the second she tried. She had expected to lose when she had began, but it still ticked her off slightly. She let out a small 'oof' when he rammed her with his shoulder. She tried her best to stay balanced, but that didn't work out well either. She had lost her grip on her other sword, and was left defenseless. Thoughts went through her head at a speed of 100 mph, as she tried to come up with something.
