~Dylan~

Dylan spoke in a low, almost growling voice as he responded. He knew he was being unreasonable but he couldn't help it, it was in his nature to be like this. In fact he was greatly restraining himself, any other kelpie would have eviscerated the newcomer on sight.
"What brings you here? Have you like all the rest simply decided that it would be fun to escape here into the mortal realm?"

Escape into a mortal realm? Why would he do such a thing? "I mean not but to jest but I've been here as long as I can recall. I may have been born here for all I know if my kind is born that is to say."

~Dylan~

Dylan gritted his teeth and bit down on his own tongue causing it too bleed. He spoke through clenched teeth, "Leave. Now."
The taste of his own blood in his mouth only served to make things worse, he clenched his fists so tightly that he actually drew blood from there too. His whole body was tense. Not here. Not now. Things were peaceful, and he wanted them to stay that way.

He took a step back. "Surely-?" He started though he lowered his head in shame as he turned to leave. Why? Why were so many mean towards him? Sure he was one that hid in shadows though to avoid getting hurt and or hunted that was one needed to do. He had t thought the horse of the sea to travel so far on to land though it seems he did. Very well then, he would just be forced to move on like he normally was. Again he would settle just for the whole process to start again. Unlike the others he had never seen the other world, this was the only one he knew. A land of things that died as you walked the earth cursed to never return to the soul as you once came. Father into the wood he retreated, until not even the sun wished to touch the ground about him. A land of shadow, maybe this was where he needed to live.

Ears alert he watched the animal walk away. "Why did you send him away? He wasn't hurting anything." The rabbit failed to meantion the fact that unlike the man that stood in front of him that animal hadn't smelled of death. Could he really have been that bad?

He couldn't hold it in any longer, Dylan let out a bloodcurdling cry as he clutched at his own face and clothes in an attempt to prevent himself from crushing the little creature next to him. The cry would have sounded like a person in pain to a normal human, and would have compelled them to help the poor soul. But to a mythical the shrill, otherworldly, almost musical scream meant that they were the only ones in danger.

A thick mist gathered about his body as he shook violently from the effort of stopping himself from assuming his true monstrous form for, were that to happen there would truly be no controlling him.

He had seen enough. Dashing away in fear he took to the sky, for many of his kind knew that kelpies lacked the wings to fly. Fine! If he wanted to do that then let him! "Look there is no need to go and get yourself worked up like that! He was just trying to be friendly such as I was. Someone needs to learn to control their temper." He shouted down as he did circles above the man. Horses and their attitudes! It was enough to make one sick the way they fought for mates and such.

~Dylan~

Dylan fell to his knees, why was this happening? It had been two centuries since he had last lost control, but in the past decade he had been slipping further and further. Now it seemed that he couldn't even manage a civil conversation without going mad.

He was too close to the town. If any human were to come within sight he wouldn't be able to stop himself. It wasn't meant to be this way, she had promised him that he could go on for the rest of his days without fear of becoming a beast. Had she lied to him? Or had she cursed him after all?

"Stop this your acting like a colt!" He said lighting down just out of reach of the human. He was a rabbit, lightning fast reflexes were a much in krder for him to survive. "Please just try to calm yourself. You don't want to chase a fuss now do you?" He said trying to help. He hadn't a clue what else to say really, he had never really been one to help others. What was he saying this was the first time something hadn't run from him in a long time!

In a single movement Dylan lashed out at the creature, transforming into his monster form. That of a beautiful black stallion with a rear end that resembled that of a fish or a shark with weeds and water plants clinging to him. His tail whipped around with surprising strength as he whinnied loudly, the sound carrying the same eerie undertones as the one he had made whilst still in human form.

When he thought back about his reflexes and how he had said they had been fast he had no clue as to want the horse like animal could do. Now as he flew through the air after having been struck by the tail of the animal he though back to what his mother had told him. She was right, never cheat death. With a soft thud he hit the ground just a few feet away. The world about his was hazy and a blinding light threatened to take him as he lay in the ground. He had to get up...the ground wasn't safe.
