Personality
In all honesty, he can be quite the scary man. He isn't one for second chances, and don't make him ever repeat himself. His word is law on the ship and you better treat them as just that. He is calculating and precise with his movements, so never doubt he has a real plan behind his main one. He's a tricky man, you never really know just where his target is.
Percival is slightly sadistic, he does get a kick out of making people suffer slowly, and this doesn't stop at pirates. His own crew knows that if you are ever punished by him, you aren't coming back.
If you are his friend or someone close to him, you know he is just damaged from his past. He's ruthless because no one showed him what kindness was as a child. The man has panic attacks frequently, but he always takes those to his quarters to deal with. What crew would want to follow a man who get's panicky over nothing?
Backstory
Percival was sold by pirates themselves as a child during a raid on the town he lived in. He was taken form his family, and forced to watch them be cut down violently. After, he was starved and kept in a barrel under the deck of their pirate ship. Luckily, a navy ship killed the pirates on board and found him below deck. The Captain of that ship took him in, and did his best to try to fix what a broken soul he had become. It worked a little, and he became at least stable enough to not think everyone was his enemy. As he grew older, he moved past everyone his age to become the Captain after the previous one passed. The Captain even specifically asked before he died that he become Captain.
And so, he's been Captain for about a year now, and made quite a monster of himself, and swore revenge against all pirates.

Most foods, he's kinda picky, disobedient people, troublesome things, showing his weaknesses, rice especially
Strengths
Strong, smart, planning, tricky, he also is wicked good at wielding a crossbow and some daggers.
Weaknesses
Claustrophobia from his childhood trauma, his temper isn't always controlled and sometimes his mental state crumbles

Was thinking Maxwell as a close friend.. Both hate pirates.. cold.. heartless.. mean things.
They can be pretty close as they are like minded and share interests? Maaaybe more then close as friends? ( though it would be a dominace fight 24/7 )
