Stopping she listened to the call. It was another like her, a male at that. Back tracking she peeked from the cove. It was indeed a stallion! How many years had she searched for one like her? Nickering she swam out of the cove slowly, answering his call in a way.

~Dylan~

Not since his mother had Dylan seen another female of his kind. Roughly only one out of seven kelpies were female and the chance of two kelpies meeting, let alone a male ad female was extremely slim especially considering that they were not of this world. He continued almost singing in a way, moving so that he could see her better but still leaving himself open to attack. This was customary when meeting a female, he had never been taught but rather knew instinctively.

Were he a mere beast like most of his kind, his motives would have been as such. A meeting such as this was rare so he would have wanted to make the most of it. A male kelpie could easily overpower a female, so he had to make it abundantly clear that that wasn't his intention. This was normally the only situation in which a male kelpie was even remotely docile, after all mating was a complicated thing. However Dylan wasnt a beast and so wasn't thinking of mating at all, this was simply the best way to communicate his good intentions regardless of what her native language may have been.

Lynn~
Carefully she approached. She had seen animals do this before, it was a mating ritual. Did he honestly think she would just give herself up that easily?! He had another thing coming to him then! With a flick of her tail she snorted. She defeated for saying anything though as she circled him.

~Dylan~

Though she clearly had some fire in her, the female was acting far more tame than he would have expected. He shifted his song slightly, mixing in parts of the submissive call used when surrendering territory and also adding in the neutral, less aggressive portions of the standard greeting call thus altering the meaning of the song. It was a little more complex than what most would do in this situation but, he wanted to get across that mating was far from the first thing n his mind.

Lynn~
A male that wished not for a mate? Was this some sick human trick played on a young filly? To use a male to win her over just to catch her off guard! It was cruel. She pawed at him, nickering as she did. "One doesn't come to these parts often..." She said still circling him. Her voice was calm and sweet though it had a bite to it. How awful it was to be so cruel!

"I'm Flash," The Enfield said with a grin. "And what sort of angel are you? Seraphim? Cherubim? Harold?"

Dylan gradually brought his singing to a stop, he carried it on just long enough to come to a conclusion. In a low, almost somber tone he resopnded, "I could say the same to you, I have lived here for two centuries. Yet just when I am about to leave this place behind me for good, you show up."

"Half-Irin!" Akami said, fluttering around Flash.

Flash waved his tail. "I see. What Is this place?" He asked, looking around.

"Daddy and I built it as a safe-haven for mythical creatures who have fallen through the dimensional cracks." Akami explained. "Daddy lives at the topmost house in the city. It's the house with the paper cranes circling it."
The half-irin pointed to Eladain's house.
