I can understand that and decide not to push it, I put away my staff and hurry after him.

The guard whips out a scanner, which beeps ominously. "Nicote Marker," it says in an automated voice. "Hid his treasonous sister, Nanita Marker. No signs of being a Prodigy." The guard glares at you, and says, "What about you, young lady?"

Nicote rolled his eyes skyward and wondered how he wasn't in jail yet. and groans internally. Here we go again......he wondered if his sister could mimic I'd codes.

"Um, okay," she says nervously. Her arm shakes as the scanner reads, "Nanita Marker. Arrested for treason and faces execution by decapitation." She can change how things look, but not sounds.

He's in Griffin form again. "Hmm, there are some humans that way," he points with a talon, "And a wolf a bit farther that way," he says, pointing. "Otherwise, we're all clear." He sets off at a brisk pace through the trees and a few minutes of awkward silence later, you come to an open meadow. This isn't good, you can easily be spotted here and Raymond stands out with his red feathers.

I tap his side and point to his wings "could he fly us over the meadow here?" hopefully his wings had had time to heal a little bit more

I scratch the side of my mask apologetically and (very careful of his injures) climb up.

He shifts a bit under your weight, but takes a running start into the air. "Tell me if you see anyone!" he yells up to you as he crosses the meadow, which is bigger than you think. There's a trail of smoke coming up from one of the trees, too small to be a forest fire, so probably a campfire or something.
