As you looked at the purple mirror an image flashed to life on the surface just long enough for you to process it. It looked like a land made of purple and pink crystal, with a glowing river and towering cities within the larger pieces of crystal. ( I do not have the image link available at the moment)

"Could I go there.... and this mirror shard, any details about it?" she asked flicking her tail with excitement

"Of course you can go there, child. It is a very beautiful, just like you." The lady smiled fondly, "The mirror shard will be just that, a shard. It will be purple, like the mirror-portal, and will be guarded."

It seemed to be day, by the dull whiteness of it, but you could see no sun. You knwo noticed that this place was cool, like a crisp autumn day. "The people speak only when necessary, and yet, they have very advanced technology."

Asked looks at Desmar as they travel. "Advanced technology? Please elaborate," he said. He was now very interested in this place of darkness. He rather liked the dark.

"Well, they had to develop it quicker than other places due to lack of food," he gestured to the harsh rocky soil, "They have discovered a great many things. They have great buildings that reach the sky, and travel to the top of them within moments. They have boxes which can make food out of air. And a great deal more."

Alec was surprised. This was more advanced technology than he had been expecting. "That is very advanced," he admitted.

Desmar stopped and the end of the pathway and pointing to the city beyond. It was about a mile away, and you could see the tall buildings he had described. "I cannot go any father, I am bound to the portal. There is someone coming that I must meet, farewell." (Keep in mind some of this tech will be unknown to your character, where you come from has technology similar to the 1900's, but it is still run like an olden kingdom. This place has technology like the 2000's and higher.)

(I know nothing about the 1900s tho o3o our history class hasn't gotten there yet)

I thank him, then continue down the road towards the buildings, staying in the shadows.

The lady looked down at her ring of keys and did something with the purple one, before looking back at you, It is open, you may enter when ready.

Desmar buzzed in agreement, "Yes. They are much ahead of your time. Ah, there it is."
Desmar stopped at the end of the gray path. He pointed to a towering city at about a mile away. "I cannot go any father, as I am tethered to the portal."
