Mythic Mirror
A wind rustles your clothing, it feels different somehow. It doesn't feel the same as wind usually does. But not in the physical sense. It seems to inspire in you a mystical feeling, fear and excitement wrapped up in one bundle of emotion.
You turn as you hear a strange fluttering sound, though its not really a sound. More like the thought of a sound echoing in your mind. You turn to find your surroundings have changed.
You are suddenly in a chamber full of colorful mirrors, standing in front of a woman you've never seen before, but feels familiar. As if from a dream you don't remember.
The mirrors reflect the room, but each also has something behind the glass, as if they were portals.
The woman seemed to have an air of deity about her, like a demi-god. Her clothing rippled in an nonexistent wind. Small glowing things flitted about her, seeming as if they had a mind of their own. They almost seemed to have individual shapes, perhaps you might notice more if you looked closer.

"Welcome, young one. You have been chosen by the King to search for the pieces to the Mythic Mirror."
Your eyes perceived her mouth moving as if through water, distorted and rippled. Her voice carried the same echoing quality as the fluttering before. In her hand, she held a ring of keys. You noticed each key seemed to match one of the mirrors.
"Feel free to ask me any questions you may have. But, do not tarry, for your journey begins soon."

Rules:
1. You can die.
2. Narrators word is law. If I say an attack hit you, you cant then say, I dodged.
3. You cannot do the impossible! If you have been knocked out, you cant go chasing after the perpetrator!
4. Please avoid making a Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu character.
5. Stick to the personality you made for your character. I know its hard sometimes, but try your best!
6. No breaking the rules set by the character sheet! (i.e. no characters that are 12 and have five abilities)
7. No controlling the NPCs, I control them.
8. No swearing/cursing (darn it/dang it, stuff like that is okay). One, your character wouldn't know these words. Two, its not polite to other people.
9. Please be familiar with Krin's Forum rules.
10. Put Purple Monkey in the Species section.
11. Please be polite to me and others. Your character can be rude, but you should try to be courteous.
12. I you don't understand something, just ask! I wont bite you XD
13. Say you haven't read the rules in your form.
14. Bold/Quote Ping me, failure to follow this rule may result in being kicked. You have three warnings.
15. No magic.
16. You cannot know the King or Queen, even if you are the Count/Countess.
17. No doing things like I find a Lesser Mythical and it becomes my companion
18. You are from slightly distorted Medieval times, so you cant know about later technology or stuff like that.
19. Keep this PG-13. I dont know why someone would want to break this rule, but just in case: DON'T.
20. Only one person can have each Occupation, there cannot be two Soldiers.

Soul-Reading:
By touching something sentient, you can read their deepest desire and fear. If contact continues, you can also read their true intentions.
Truth-Seeker:
Can instantly detect any lie, including things such as illusions.
Sherlock:
When activated, this ability allows you to notice things your brain would normally ignore. It only lasts for three minutes, and takes thirty minutes for your brain to recover from the intake of information.
Sky-Leap:
You can launch an astral projection of yourself straight into the sky, seeing clearly for miles around for one minute. Very draining and takes a half-hour for your mind to recover from the concentration.
Regrowth:
In direct light, you can heal yourself slowly. Sunlight for wounds, Moonlight for illness, Lightning for mental ailments. Cannot regrow lost limbs, only heal the wound
Silver-Tongued:
You become extremely persuasive and convince any small group of normal people, or one Lesser Mythical, of something regardless of Persuasion. (i.e. You dont want to attack me.) Or put an idea into the mind of a Greater Mythical. This can only be used twice per day.
Anti-Nauseous:
You dont get Portal-Sick half the time, and when you do its less severe.
Trustworthy:
You are 50% more likely to gain companions.
Resistant:
You are 50% more likely to resist mind-control tactics.
Quick Learner:
You have a 20% chance to progress in a skill by watching someone else perform it at a higher level than you. (i.e. someone else performs a Level 5 Attack, and youre only at Level 3, you have 1 in 5 chances to go up a level.)
Binding:
You can, by touch, bind two things together. (i.e. you can bind two stones together, and for a time they will be inseparable.) You can bind living things and non-living things. (i.e. bind yourself to a horse so it cant buck you off, no matter your riding level.)
Mind-Touch:
Through direct contact with a sentient being, you can understand and/or speak their language.
Intuition:
Your character is 25% more likely to sense danger or poison, regardless of Perception level.

Portal Sickness:
After going through a portal (unless you have Anti-Nauseous), your abilities will be rendered unusable and all your skills will temporarily go to 0 for a time. You will additionally feel sick to your stomach and have a pounding ache in your head. I will remind you of this each time you got through a portal, but this is so you know beforehand.

Portal-Watchers:
Through each portal there will be a Portal-Watcher who will welcome you to their dimension and help you get started.

Holly is much to trusting, not to mention overly optimistic. Aside from her Happy and trusting exterior she can be quite the mischievous trickster and a bit of a flirt, but is a bit awkward when flirted with. Her Trusting Nature Got her in a bit too much trouble, and was often used as a scapegoat in her schooldays, her appearance not helping much. Personality: She's a very silent and lithe one in movement, also very bold. Her actions tend to be very straightforwards and harsh, sometime she'll even do preposterous things without warning, although whatever she does, she'll have thought it through and decided it's the best action to make given the situation, and she tries to help as much as she can to others, although it may seem like she's being bossy or making a move that was a wild move.
She's somewhat haughty and always holds herself elegantly, no matter the situation, and she regards others as all the same, no matter if they are a poor person or if they are a king; they are all the same in her eyes, and even when she moves, her back is always straight and her head held high, giving her a confident look to outsiders, although whenever she moves, she makes absolutely no sound, and if she wants to, she can blend into the crowd, becoming the needle in the haystack. She has trained herself to be able to copy another's movements, footsteps, and to an extent, their voice.
Astraeus enjoys the outdoors and nature, and likes to climb things and take creative routes to her destination, although those creative routes include walking on roofs and some parkour, she will always try to use the fastest path and even then, she'll enjoy it. If Dragon hasn't mentioned before, she likes parkour and being assassin-y.
In battle, she uses her stealth and speed to her advantage, tiring out her enemy before finally bringing them down, rather than directly engaging them in a fight. Or, if she can, she'll sneak up behind the enemy and do a flash attack strike before disappearing, leaving the enemy's allies or friends to wonder what had just happened.
However, due to her haughtiness in her personality, she doesn't take it lightly when she's insulted. She will retort, and if the insult was a pretty bad one, she'll proceed to logic roast and do what she can behind the scenes to ruin the offender's life. Not only that, and if anybody mentions anything about her dead family and especially, insults the fact that her mother and sister were dead, people are going to get hurt. Or, people are going to mysteriously disappear.
Because of her backstory, she has learnt the hard way that caring for somebody else will only result in pain, so she is careful not to form any attachments to anyone, and she has vowed to get revenge for her dead family members who were wrongfully killed, and she has also vowed to stop others from being wrongfully killed or mistreated, and if she discovers anyone doing any of the things mentioned above, people are going to get hurt or disappear out of existence.
All of the things she's seen and the events she'd been through have caused her smile to disappear... probably forever. Astraeus won't smile anymore, and if you get her to smile... it's as if you've made the sun rise up in the west or done some sort of impossible thing.

I'm just gonna stick her backstory in here too so her personality is somewhat explained.
She was abandoned when young, and nearly died on the streets in one winter, but she stumbled upon a kind lady who took her in. The lady also had a daughter, and Astraeus took the sign to join in the family, even calling the lady her mother and the girl her younger sister. She and her sister were best friends, and they lived happily for quite a while.
However, when she finally recovered from her past of being abandoned and was allowed to go outside and socialize again, stuff happened. She preferred to live in the streets and learn the way of thieves and learning how to silently get from point one to point two, and her mother and sister respected that, and let her be, because they knew she'd be back once in a week or something. But then, as she made friends in the streets of Edrya, she also made an enemy, as she once pickpocketed a visiting powerful person, although she didn't realize that person was so important at the time.
The person, of course, was quite angry, and being a very powerful person that could do anything, the person started to hunt her down. When he couldn't find Astraeus, he decided to kill the ones closer to her to mess up her life, so he found her mother and sister, and framed them for a horrendous crime. There was a lot of drama and pleading going on as her mother insisted they did nothing, but Astraeus didn't know about it, because it was the time of the week she would spend on the streets with her friends. Before she knew it, a public execution was taking place, and of course, it was to kill her mother and sister.
She had no idea what it was at the time, only knowing something important was happening at the town square as her friends told her, so she was curious, and went to see. But cliche, cliche, she was too late, and arrived just in time to see her closest "family" members being killed. She was devastated and angry, and asked around for what had happened. Astraeus then discovered that they were falsely convicted by the visiting person, she wanted to find him and make him pay, preferably killing him, one life for the lives of her lost family. And of course, the person had left, knowing his life would probably be in danger should he stay any longer.
Astraeus just got increasingly angrier and madder during this time, vowing she'd take the life of whoever had her family killed. Then, things got worse. She found out that a small group of her friends on the streets had been bribed to keep her away until the execution was over, so she went to confront them. They were, essentially, no longer her friends. They jeered at her, calling her mother and sister short-lived, saying that they deserved what was coming at them. Astraeus just got more angry. Soon, all her friends had turned against her and she was alone, learning the hard way not to form attachments.
Everyone was against her, and in her fury, she didn't care anymore. Anyone involved would pay. Not just the powerful person. Anybody who did the same work as the powerful person did, slaughtering innocents for no reason or mistreating people, and she would do her best to prevent stuff like this from happening again, all the while avenging her dead family while she did so.
