I wince at the muddy path, not wanting to get me or Angel too dirty. However, the quiet path kind of freaked me out. I think about it, and against better judgement, I turn down the too quiet path, keeping Angel close to me.

After tapping your fingers on the counter for a few seconds,
you realize you don't have any money.
You could take the items your currently holding and the box while he's away.
You could also get out of town fast enough for nobody to be able to catch you.

The woman gives you a weird look before seeming to realize what's going on.
