Sorry to hear about your friend and uncle. I do know what it is like to lose a relative to cancer as well. My Aunt Susan had died from lung cancer about 5 years ago. And my fiance had a friend of his who's girlfriend (at that time, about 4 years ago) had cancer as well, thankfully however she is a cancer survivor.
I chose the lupora to represent lung cancer. Mine is male because my aunt had a male Chihuahua that she loved, however her favorite pet was her cockatoo (i couldn't find any designs that would look right for lung cancer with the Nyte)
Here is a link to a web page that list 4 different lung cancer charities: http://voices.yahoo.com/lung-cancer-charities-doing-part-fight-lung-2068499.html
The girl had Hodgkins Lymphoma

I'm so glad that she is a survivor, but I am very sorry for your loss as well. :( May your aunt rest in peace...
Thank you so much for sharing! I also forgot that Hodgkins Lymphoma was a cancer. I didn't know that the color was purple as well.
It's amazing that such horrible diseases have such pretty colors to represent them.

This is a pancreatic cancer lupora. My uncle is currently fighting it, but there doesn't seem to be much we can do. I have never met him other than when I was a baby. He and the rest of the family didn't speak much. Now my grandparents are caring for him. I feel the least I can do is honor his fight in my own way by doing this and acknowledging his fight.
