Hi everyone! You may know me or you may not, but my name on many sites is EeveeDream. Recently one of my close friends revealed to me that they have stage 4 colon cancer. As a few of you may know, this is usually not curable.

It broke my heart to hear this. And it broke my heart to know that there isn't much that I can do for them. I feel alone in this, and I know that I'm not the only one who is or has been in this situation.

My friend isn't the only person I know who has had cancer. My uncle recently died of liver cancer a few years ago...4 days after I first met him. He looked so healthy when I met him, but then it made its move and...

I know I'm not alone. I know that there are those who seek support and company like I do. One of my best female friends lost her mother to cancer, and she was so relieved to know that she wasn't the only one to experience that kind of loss.

So I came up with this project, a project to help bring together those affected by cancer together in the Sylestia community. I call it The Cancer Awareness Neighborhood Project: a project of pet designs that represent the different ribbon colors for the different cancers and bring awareness to the existence and to charities to help fight that cancer.

I will not be the only one making designs; everyone affected by cancer would make designs based on the cancers that have affected them. Here are my designs:

Colon Cancer Lupora

Charity: http://www.ccalliance.org/

Liver Cancer Lupora

Charity: http://www.liverfoundation.org/

I selected the lupora because my friend with colon cancer is a wonderful canine artist. He has done a few commissions for me in the past and for others we know a well for free because he loves drawing. My uncle also grew up with a very well loved dog named Ali, so it fit them both. The lupora also has a distinct ribbon that I used to represent the ribbon people commonly pin to their shirts to help spread awareness. Harlequin is the wristbands that many wear to help motivate themselves and others to rally against this horrible disease.

Everyone, please feel free to come up with different pet designs and hopefully make them real pets for yourself and others who have been affected. Also try and inform others about the cancer and what they can to help fight it.

I am so sorry to hear that..
i do know what it's like to lose a relative to cancer, my great aunt Karen who was basically my second mom died of breast cancer when i was 3...i'd like to design a Lup for myself for my aunt. this won't be pink and black themed, but rather colored after her and my favorite pet she ever had, a Shetland Sheepdog named Duchess who died just last year.
Duchess as a Lup:

She has the wings to mark that she's deceased, and i also previewed a breast cancer Lup:

I'm soo very sorry to hear about this.

I lost my mom to stage 4 colon cancer nearly 3 years ago, so I know all to well the feeling of loss, the wishing/wanting for it all to be a bad dream.

I'd honestly love to have a female lupe from your colon cancer project when you have them.

Feel free to message me if you need to talk.

I would absolutely love to give you one, Lddarc! When I make them, you can be assured that one of the babies will be yours.

Topaz, you could do an exclusive breeding project with 2 regular essences if you cannot save up enough gold to buy an enhanced essence for her. Just a thought, as I really want for you to be able to make her. :/

Many of my family died from cancer... My grandma ((Father's side)) Colon, I forgot my uncle's cancer... another had leukemia ((That's mom dad, cured now)), friend had leukemia.... >< I can't remember anymore... :/
I didn't feel anything for those who died though... I don't know why... I guess I just bottled up my feelings or something... But I do support this project, but I don't want to be reminded of the cancer stuff, so I'll have to pass on getting one of the lups... ((Surprisingly, my family likes dogs so I should get one, but I don't want to remember anything about cancer... Cause I'll start panicking... most likely))
Unfortunately, I don't know much about cancer... So I can't help here... Since I dont' know what ribbons you're talking about... But I guess I'll help somehow.... I can do smt in real life, since CIPs is required, and my school brings us to random places, now we're going to a hospital to help...
I feel sorry for you, but words won't cut it... But jsut make the best of what time you have left, and don't let any time spent with him go to waste. But don't give up on the chance he'll get cured, since it's not impossible... Besides, I lost 2? ppl I knew to cancer in one year... >< And only a week after I met one of them D: Worse, I get attached to ppl easily if I feel like I like them, and was screaming at my parents for not telling me earlier... At least, as a christian, I know his happy in heaven. But I can't help but miss him....
And I don't understand... I'm really empathetic, but I can't feel sadness easily, in place i feel like something is missing... and i can feel my friend's sadness, but I don't feel sad... and I don't cry due to emotions... I don't know anymore D:

*Hugs Soltra tightly*

I pm'd you, but for others feeling the same as her, what you are feeling is perfectly alright. Feel free to pm me if you ever want to rant or talk, or just really need a virtual hug. <3 Because I know how you feel.
