Currently, pet's genes keep track for 1 generation.
And, it is set up similar to PI's system where 1 is the dominant and all the rest are recessive and continue down the ladder.
We basically use AA, BB, CC, etc to keep an easy track of everything (it makes sense to me at least lol). So if you have the mother at AA and the father at BB, their offspring will be AB. Since A is dominant, the offspring will display A, but still carry B. So if you mate the offspring (AB) with a BB, it is possible for their child to be BB and display the B gene.
Does that make sense?
