I'm 13 and we've known since I was about say, 6 or 7 years old. Somewhere around that age. So that'd be... 6 years at most.

I understand what you mean about your cats, I think. Do they give you a feeling of peace?

Yes. Sometimes when I'm really upset or angry and need to calm down I'll go outside and sit with them for a few minutes. It really helps.

Autism: So, I have high-functioning autism. This is a term applied to people with autism who are deemed to be cognitively "higher functioning" (with an IQ of 70 or greater) than other people with autism. (I pulled this off the internet hehehe)
Current favorite stim: anything with an extreme or interesting texture, like sandpaper, glass, or tree bark. I also love rubbing my hands on corners. Putty and slime are nice too.
Current special interest: The arts, like music, writing, drawing, anything like that. Also CATS.
