"want to join us?" i ask the other girl, rising to my feet. i want to check out the floor with our rooms in it first, then the third floor. after that, we can explore the bottom floors, as they have more people in them and i don't want to get caught before i can explore.

After a nap she got up and the maid pushed her outside to the mango tree "our friend got hurt so you do" she demanded and she went to work

"wanna come with?" i extend the offer to the other girl, Akira. she looks like she would help, besides, three is better than one anyways.

"that was meant to be more of a motivational thing and less of a question" i admit sheepishly "you know what let's just go upstairs" i cringe, slinking off towards the staircase with the others behind me.

"i'm just going to touch everything and hope something interesting happens" i shrug "you should too" i add, approaching the first door on the floor. i swing it open, revealing a unused room with a bed, desk and balcony, just like all the other rooms. ok so that isn't interesting. moving on i open the next room, revealing another identical unused room. ok, so nothing interesting to be found here. this is probably the floor with all the bedrooms in it. that makes sense, actually.

bored of this floor, i sneak up stairs with the other two, into the third floor. there's light coming from under the first door on the hallway, and i can see it's cracked open a bit. slinking over, i press my eye to the cracked door to see inside.


the red haired woman and Gabriel are inside, and Gabriel is pacing infront of a lit fire place, reading a bible. "i did not say this!" he exclaims, ripping a page from the book and tossing it in the fire. the red haired woman stands to the side holding a stack of books, glancing down at the stack then back at Gabriel.


"read this one" she says, holding it out for him. Gabriel huffs, tossing the bible in the fire and grabbing the book from her hands. flipping through the book, he seems less annoyed, grinning down at the pages. "this is one of the ones from my personal library, yes?" he asks, pointing to the old book. the red haired woman nods, staying silent. "let's put this in the yes pile, then" he says to himself, setting the book on the table. "alright, what's next?" he asks, grabbing the next book.

what's he doing? what are those books about? i continue watching as Gabriel reads to book, pausing to inspect the illustrations on the pages. he adds it to the same pile as the last one, reaching for another. scanning the tittle, he immediately sets it aside, in a different pile than the other two. "definitely not" he grimaces, sharing a glance with the red haired woman.

She was still in the garden with the other maid picking at the rest of the berries to fill in for the injured made, she shared a tired look with the made but they kept working, She was still very hungry but kept her mouth shut

stalking over to the window, Gabriel points out at the window at someone outside. "why is lily out there?" he asks, sighing. "send a servant to go fetch her and bring her inside, she's done for the day" he says. "and make sure she changes into clean clothes, i don't want dirt on my humans" he adds.
