"apparently we have to read them together" i shrug, setting the stack of books down on the table beside her door. grabbing the one off the top, i hold it up, inspecting the cover under the light from her bedroom. "a comprehensive list of the gods and their origins" i read aloud, flipping the book open on my lap. "uh, ok so the first one listed is called "mercy" but also "Angela" so i'm not sure if it's like, a nickname sort of thing?" i say, shrugging "but anyways, Mercy is apparently the god of life, healing and companionship" i read from the book. flipping the page i spot a illustration of a tall woman with blond hair swept behind her in a pony tail. she holds a staff and has two golden wings sprouting from her back like some sort of angel.

"maybe she goes by angela but her real identity is the goddess of mercy I'm guessing" she says opening the door to let him inside

"maybe" i nod, taking the book with me. flipping through the pages, i don't feel like reading all of these - this is a really big book! "uh, alright here's the next one; the lyra. this one is the god of the arts - music mainly. his name is Lucio" i say, pointing to the picture next to the description. he's tall and skinny, he looks young. his hair is held together behind his head in a cluster of large dreadlocks. i show the picture to them, letting them look at it one by one.


"where do all these guys live?" i ask, curiously. i mean, they have to live somewhere, right? they don't live here, obviously. maybe they live somewhere else in the forest?

"I don't know but he's pretty hot" she snickers sleepily and sits next to him and grabbed another book as she wrapped up Making her tiny scratches and cuts itch sometimes, so she rubbed her cheeks to scratch her cuts placed uppon them and kept reading

"he is" i nod appreciatively, glancing at the drawing one more time as i turn the page to look at the next one. "alright the next page is about...Gabriels snakes?" i look at the page in confusion, what's so important about his snakes?

i quickly scan over the page, before stopping at a paragraph that catches my interest "looks like they're a few thousand years old or something" i shrug "wonder what that's about"

"doesn't he like snakes or something" she said not really paying attention but she ment the guy who kidnapped them

"yeah, these ones are his" i say, holding up the book and showing her "the cornsnake and the ball python are like, his pets or something. wonder what's so important about them" i muse, reading over the page. the book makes no mention of their importance, however it does go into great detail about their feeding habits, when they usually need to be collected and put back in their terrarium, and their favorite hiding spots and people, which is actually kind of adorable.

"ok hand me the next book" i say, setting this one aside "this one isn't giving us much useful information"

"so he's kinda a softy if you think about" she says shrugging and handed him a different book "I think he's in that one to" she suggested and looked at another one

cracking open the book i'm met with the familiar smell of ink on paper, and i can't help but take a deep breath to enjoy it. blushing a little, i quickly stop. lets just focus on the book. "oh, looks like this one is on the god's relationships with the others and their servants!" i exclaim, excitedly flipping through the pages until i find one on Gabriel.

i spot a header that sands out to me; relationship with he prophesized ones. "i think this one is about us" i whisper, beginning to read. my eyes go wide as i read it, and i slowly look up at lily. "it says here that we aren't the only ones, just the ones made for Gabriel" i says, pointing at a paragraph "and it says directly below that that it's normal for a god to take one of their prophesized ones as a partner...like in marriage" i drop my voice low to a whisper at that last part.

"I think he's gay well......a pretty mean gay guy....but that's not the point I just think that Because the way he looks at you is um different" she explains turning threw another book "anyways I'm totally shipping it besides I'm just the berry picker, I have more berrys to pick tomorrow also" she points out "I wonder why he has so many fruit"
