"you two will be accompanying me to dinner with her" he continues, turning his gaze to the path infront of him "now come with me and get your dresses fitted for tonight, i will not have you embarrassing me in front of my good friend - i have not seen Her Mercy in a hundred years"

he stops in front of a room i've never been in before, knocking on the wooden door. it swings open, and a young woman answers the door with a bright smile. "good, you've brought them!" she exclaims, reaching out and grabbing me "you first, it will take longer to fit a dress to your stature" she decides, pulling me into the room and onto a raised circular platform surrounded by full length mirrors.


"as for you" she turns to lily, thinking for a second "pick a color, maybe two, Jack isn't allowed to pick the color of his dress but you are" she informs us. i huff, i don't even get to pick the color of my own clothing now! seriously!?

She looks at him then back at her "uh peach I guess" she says nervously stammering and keeping her hands in her pockets, she had work to do and the maid would get mad,she did promise she was gonna help today and she was sorta afraid of gabriel "but I- I have to get back to work before my friend gets mad so I'll be going" she said tripping a little and heading to her room to get changed into some work clothes.

She hurried to the kitchen before anyone could stop her and grabbed her basket and met with her friend in the garden, she then began picking at the berry's with her even tho she knew someone was just gonna drag her back to the changing room

the woman pinning cloth around my waist sighs, rolling her eyes "when i'm done with you you have to go get her" she informs me. i nod, awkwardly trying stay still while she fusses over the fabric around my waist. when she's done with my waist, she moves to my top, pinning fabric around my chest and shoulders to see how much would be needed. she hmms as she does so, sketching things down in her note book and finally releasing me.

"i'm done with measurements for now, i still have most of the info from your first dress. now go get the girl" she orders, setting the fabric aside. "and come back when you do!" she adds as i scurry off in the direction of the gardens.

i find lily kneeling beside a servant in the gardens picking berries, chatting with the woman beside her and smiling. "uh, the woman from the dress room needs you" i say awkwardly.

"but why? I don't really want to go and I'ma end up screwing up everything anyways so I'ma stay here" she says silently still picking

"please come with me that woman scares me i think she would kill me if i came back empty handed" i ask, giving her a pleading look. "i'm not joking i think she's five seconds away from imbedding one of those pins in my skin" i shudder.

"alright" she sighs wiping dirt from her cheek and following him, she didn't wanna go and was probably not gonna eat tonight so she doesn't make the maid upset

sighing in relief, i walk with her back to the woman. as soon as i reach the door it swings open, and the woman Grabs us both, dragging us in the room. ily is dragged tot he same raised circle as i was, and i am shoved in the corner she was in before.


"you need to stay still" she orders, pointing to lily "and you" she points at me, giving me a warning glare "need to settle down and wait for your dress to be finished up so i can work on your appearance" she says, using the same white fabric and measuring tape to get lily's measurements as she did to get mine.

She was gonna say something rude to her before getting shocked by her collar and sliding down the wall in the corner and waited silently, she scratched her scars Making some bleed and others just slightly red

"do not scratch" the woman snaps, slapping her hand away and pulling her back to where she was before so she can pin more fabric up. "i'm almost finished, just give me a few more minutes and then you will go wait with jack until i can do your makeup" she sighs, shaking her head.

"I don't wear make-up and your not gonna put it on me" she said looking at her firmly but trying her best to stay calm, she was gonna wash it off if they did put it on anyways
