"i think i'd die if i read all these books and the answer wasn't in any of them" i groan, grabbing the first book.



after a few hours, i finally find the answer in the very last book. why didn't i start with that one!? "ok, i found something! it says "the lyra may give a token of possession to a human to grant them political immunity among the gods" so basically, it means he's going to protect you" i say, pointing out the paragraph. "why couldn't he give me one of those?" i huff, closing the book.

"and why would he give me one, I didn't really ask for it and-" she thought picking it up "maybe he's still making you one?" She said awkwardly feeling a little bad for him now, she put the pendent on and waited to see if she was gonna explode.

She let out a sigh of relief and looked at the page "maybe Gabriel will give you one" she says "because you know he does have a baby crush on you" she teased at him, "besides what will he want to protect me from, or anyone for that matter, we are Gabriel's humans" she said with a shiver from those words

"i think that's the most offensive thing you've said to me" i laugh, seriously? Gabriel? absolutely not i don't even think he can have a crush. i glance at the book again, reading more into the gem. "looks like they usually give these to people they are looking to take in as there own, sort of like calling dibs on something" i summarize, dropping the book beside me.

She giggled and nudged him "yeah I can definitely agree with you on that one" she laughed before picking up the book in confusion "but didn't gabriel take me in though? And what about you? I don't want to leave you here alone" she said looking a little disappointed "I don't think gabriel will let me go that easily anyways. He has took me to help him and him only, If I did leave this means he would need a new human" she huffed a little

"yeah, plus i don't want to be left here either, but if it comes to it, go with him. i'll find my own way out of here" i tell her, smiling sadly. "don't let me stand in the way of your freedom" i tell her, setting the book aside "don't worry about me"

"but I'll miss you....and you did so much for me, I don't want you to go" she said sadly hugging him "who will I steal plates full of ducks with and read dusty old books with?" She looked down sadly

"you'll just have to do that with Lucio until i get out, he seems like the type of guy to steal an entire roast duck" i joke, smiling. "besides, it'll be much better than being here, wont it?"

She thinks "yeah I guess so! Well I hope so!" She smiled a little bit "well we should do as many fun things as possible before my leave right?" She smiled getting up and going to her dresser taking out a outfit and throwing it on "for some reason I like walking barefoot around this place it's more fun" she insisted tucking the pendent into her shirt and heading to the door

"i dare you to start stealing the tiles from their game" i say, pointing to the two gods playing in the gazebo. "i'll do it if you do it" i add, snickering.

"omg let's both do it" she giggled and helped him around the game unnoticed and into the bushes "want me to steal the first tile or no?" She whispered
