following after lily, i glance back down at the paper in my hands, searching for any sort of clue it may hold. the paper seems to humm with energy for a second, before the first item on the list glows gold, seeming to burn before returning to it's original state, though this time the letters are green. paper doesn't usually do that, maybe thats how you tell something is enchanted?

"i've already checked Gabriels jewelry box, do you have any ideas of where he might put a necklace like this?" i ask, folding the paper and stuffing it in my pocket. no need to make a big deal about it now, we obviously don't have the necklace on us.

"what about the necklace you stole from him" she asked "do you know where it is?" She asked "or did you check it already and it was just an regular hunk of jewelry

"i think it was normal, it doesn't seem different from any of the other necklaces in Gabriels jewelry box" i say, biting my lip. "maybe we could check his throne?" i suggest. it seems kind of stupid, but there could be a secret compartment on his chair, i know if i had an enchanted necklace i'd keep it on hand, where else but where one would sit when having an audience?

"alright whatever you say" she said to him walking silently

luckily for us, the throne room is not far. unluckily for us, the throne is covered in many gems, ranging from the size of my pinky to the size of my palm. this is not going to be easy. "i guess we just have to mess with everything" i say, grimacing at the many, many gems adorning the throne.

She started looking

i get on my hands and knees, crawling around the base of the throne, prodding, poking and pulling at all the various gems inset in the gold. after a few minutes of searching, i tug n a stone half the size of my palm, which falls to the floor with a loud "clink!", revealing a small storage space.

"i think i found it!" i call out, sticking my hand inside. i pull out a pendant in the shape of a snake, a small red jewel forming the eye of the serpent. it hums in my hand, the eye glowing for a second before going still once more. from in my pocket, the paper warms up, pulling it out i see the first item on the list has been crossed out.

She waited for him to say the second thing on the list

"alright, so next on the list is a deck of tarrot cards" i read "and then a golden bridal - like one of those things on the horses face that's connected to the reins" i explain. "which do you want to do next?"

"yeah I know what a bridle is I'm not stupid" she said crossing her arms over chest "I don't care what we get first" she insisted
