(Okay....)

Axel eyed the werid squirrel-whatevers for a moment, renforcing the thought by holding out his pocket knife threateningly.

(I must be faceplanted in the dirt right now. I just misunderstood "them" to be the ones rescued. So, like, setting Trevor on fire. Oops.)

Reuvan kicked some leaves half-heartedly, his shock finally dissipating and leaving him feeling like he could really use a nap.

Actually he always felt like that, so he was fine. Obviously. Reuvan felt kind of bad for yelling at the strangers now, it was childish and stupid and he shouldn't have freaked out that much. He yawned, regretting not getting any sleep yesterday night to work on his incantations paper.

Speaking of not falling asleep... Reuvan whirled around at the sound of a rustling bush behind him. Silence...

Then a little grey animal rolled out. The harpy sighed in relief, just a little fluff ball...probably. He eyed it some more, the big brown eyes blankly staring at him with an indescribable emotion. Wait a second were those...little fangs peaking past its lips? And its little claws were curved, small and delicate.

Reuvan realized this just a second too late because the tiny thing pounced, shrieking wildly. Fangs meant for bloodshed, and curved claws for picking at flesh.

(I probably won't be able to reply until 9-10 ish pm sylestia time (or maybe 6-7ish if I'm lucky), but I didn't want Reu too be too far behind as far as demon-glider attacks go.)

(I misinterpreted "them" to mean the people rescued, not the shriekfangs. I thought you were saying that a character wanted to burn all those who were rescued.)

(Exactly. A "what" moment later, I realized it was the shriekfangs the character wanted to burn, not the rescued ones lol.)

"Watch out," Elynna called, swooping down to set a few trees on fire. "There's a fair chance that the whole forest is going burn."
That being said, she started to use her sword more, to try to whack the monsters without getting bitten too much.

Reuvan dove to the side as the fluffball came barreling for him. Its okay, there was only one, he could handle this. He looked around wildly for any kind of weapon, spotting a large tree branch and grabbing it. He turned around again just as the grey animal started to lunge at him again.

He raised the makeshift- staff threateningly and when the animal didn't stop he swung it as hard as he could. He winced at the small squeak that left the creature, and the snap that was probably a few little bones breaking. When he graduated he definitely wasn't going to be a wildlife control sorcerer, animals couldn't help it. On the other hand people could make the right decisions. They just didn't sometimes. And when they didn't, he wasn't going to feel bad about breaking their bones.

The pair of beady brown eyes that popped out of the bush next to him just steeled his resolution. Animals were a pain.

"Dont kill them, they multiply!" Lishian yelled at Teuvan.
