As far as I'm understanding the question, I don't think so!

As long as they're able to breed, they're good. And if you don't really care about the inbreeding percentage, even better. o:

Hope that helps!

Okay! Thank you very much. That's what I thought. I was just quickly checking before investing. It's fine as long as the four parents aren't directly related (parent or sibling) - there can be indirect relations.

I won't mind the inbreeding: If I understand your method, it ends up being the cousins mating with each other. They're gonna end up being quite inbred either way! Also, stat breeding with a 0.00 % inbred? Sounds like an insanity goal!

i have some silly questions:

can you ever raise the mana, and not just the other 5 stat things?
and what does nurturing do for babies and hatchlings, specifically?

No, mana cannot be raised.

nurturing speeds up the hatching time for eggs. Every 5 clicks reduces an hour.
For hatchlings, nurturing increases their base stats. Not sure how many clicks to increase a point though.

Would the format of breeding used in the guide above work for regular project breeding as well? I have a couple I am starting and am looking for a way to breed them without needing to generate another pet every generation. Your method seems fairly simple to keep track of with the stable space I have, and it would be nice if it would work for regular trait breeding projects as well.

For each project I have two sets of parents, each pair having two of the desired traits carried, both pairs having a different set of carried traits. If I use your method of breeding, will my pets end up having all the right traits? I have a testing kit, so I can be sure if they are carrying the right traits or have them visible, and breed more than two offspring of the same pair to obtain the result Im looking for. I think it would work, but I would like to get some insight from a more experienced breeder before I start. Thanks!
