There's a pond a short walk from our house dragonflies love to visit. If you're fast, it makes for good picture opportunities. This one was blue!

You can barely see it as the camera didn't want to focus properly on such a small thing, but there was a spider having a meal of some insect, it looked like an earwig.

Anoles are very common here, thankfully this one stood still long enough for me to take its picture.

This is a mallard duck's nest. The mother took the babies that hatched and moved on by the time I took this picture, so she wasn't disturbed by me.

Nest is from last years eastern phoebe nest, the other pictures are what it looked like when their where birds in it. She has made a nest on our house for 2 years now (year one, 3 babies and then 4 babies / year two, 1 baby, bad placing of nest right under our front porch, lots of human trafic), but sadly I think this will be the last year they come back because my cat killed one of the parents. Unless the remaining parent finds another mate that likes our house.

Hybrid Tea Rose, at least that is what it said on the package when I bought it. The plant its self is huge (very tall), their is nothing little about it, not even its flowers they are regular sized.
