Astra grinned. "Nic, anything that has a single light source is too bright for you." She looked curiously over Axis but didn't say anything.
She could also see Tris staring at the light in Axis's hands. (Because you know some creepy dude in a lab coat staring at you isn't creepy at all.) Tris forgot about Lishian and started walking toward Axis.
Astra frowned. Surely Tris had gotten being obsessed with power, but then again she had not seen him since he took away her illusion magic so...

Axis caught the tree with chains of light from his hands, shunting it aside as he took a step back and observed the hole as the light faded from his hands.
Wait.
He had seen this before.
It almost seemed as if the world itself was.. crumbling?
It filled him with a deep dread.
Here too?
He wasn't sure investigating it was a sound decision, but he said nothing.

Hayden switched to bird form and shot into the sky with a startled squawk as the tree fell, alighting on the nearest person's head. Standing on the ground was uncomfortable.
There was a flash of blue and a sharp crack like a whip, and Erwen unceremoniously faceplanted in the dirt next to the hole. "Watch out guys, I think there's a hole in the ground." he mumbled.

Katie went close to the hole. Looking down, she said, "Anyone there? Anyone fell down in here?"
Trevor dare didn't get close to the hole, but he also moved a fair distance away from Axis.
"Katie?" Trevor called out.
"What?"
"I don't think anyone fell down the hole. We would've heard them scream."
"Maybe it happened too quick for them to scream," Katie replied. She took a few steps back, away from the hole's edge and sat down. "And besides, Axis." She turned to face him. "I'm only half human, light monster thing."

Axel narrowed his eyes and glanced around warily. He didn't remember leaving the city limits... Despite the ever-lurking danger of hunters in town, it was more risky to be out in the open like this. Easier to pick off. He huffed. "Should probably head back..." He grumbled to himself.
He abruptly paused, shoulders stiff as he looked to the far horizon. Where exactly was the city? "What the--?!" He mumbled.

"Don't mind her," said Trevor. "She is the sharp tongued one and I'm the stupid one. I'm Trevor, by the way." He held out his hand for a handshake.

Also he recognizes this because my universe has little isolated universe "glitches", kinda like graphical glitches that pop up from spacial distortions caused by gods messing with things.
It's fun stuff)
He heard the crash of the tree, somewhere else, silently hoping he hadn't just culled an innocent.
As amusing as it would be to know, he wasn't attempting to add murder back to his list of charges the Galactic Federation had on him.
Spacial distortions or not, this one did not seem to be disappearing and against his better judgement, he held up his hand, glowing again, to look for a bottom to it.

Tris was startled as Hayden landed on his head. His gazed turned cross-eyed as he attempted to look up. "Did you, weren't you...how did you." He stumbled on his words before saying. "Why are you on my head."

Erwen awkwardly attempted to give Trevor a high five and then tried to shake his hand with the wrong hand before finally figuring it out.
(That's a total mood tho)
"Also, yes, I did fall into the hole, but I generally do not scream. I think. Holes don't usually show up in the middle of nowhere, though. And I don't teleport, either."
