You give a yawn, stretching as you sit in the park bench. Around you people bustle, hurrying to and fro as they head to work. A few blocks away you can hear peddlers calling from the Market Stalls and the smell of food drifts through the air, reminding you of how hungry you are. Since you got laid off as the Paper Deliverer yesterday and only have five shillings left and you knew that wouldn't go far. You would have to figure out getting money and food, preferably soon. You have to try your best to survive as Winter is drawing near and that could be the killer to homeless orphans like you.
I look down the street and see the stalls bustling with stall owners. Well there's no point in trying to get a job, I thought, they all already know me from the countless time of asking for one. I look up and down the street looking for the most vulnrable of stalls to grab a bite from.

He gives a snort. "Well get," he says, waving his hand towards you in a flapping motion. Behind you a group of boys snicker at your predictiment, pointing and laughing.
"thanks Officer" i blew some hair out of my face and made my way away from him and the boys

"By cleaning up the mess Nina made" he sighs, wiping his brow of sweat.

Wolf nodded picking the Scone up from the floor along with its crumbs and not wanting to waste it he wraped it tin a cloth and set it to the side out of the way before turning back to Mr. Maxwell " Do you have a broom Sir? " he asked kindly

At the very end of the street you can see a lanky male, you think you've seen him in the streets before and he certainly looks like an Orphan. He is talking to the owner of the Bakery stall and behind him a young girl of mine or ten plays with a doll.

The boys seeing that the excitement is over wander off and disavow into groups of twos and threes. One big is heading your way though. He appears to be from the upper class and seems well off.

They look like an easy target and the orphan doesn't look to much of a concern so I carefully make my way across the street darting in between the stalls until I arrived at the side of the booth. I see a tasy basket of scones and pastries just to the right of the orphan. I crouch, ready to make a grab for it.

With that thought in mind, she headed towards the slums.
