A wind rustles your clothing, it feels different somehow. It doesn't feel the same as wind usually does. But not in the physical sense. It seems to inspire in you a mystical feeling, fear and excitement wrapped up in one bundle of emotion.
You turn as you hear a strange fluttering sound, though its not really a sound. More like the thought of a sound echoing in your mind. You turn to find your surroundings have changed.
You are suddenly in a chamber full of colorful mirrors, standing in front of a woman you've never seen before, but feels familiar. As if from a dream you don't remember.
The mirrors reflect the room, but each also has something behind the glass, as if they were portals.
The woman seemed to have an air of deity about her, like a demi-god. Her clothing rippled in an nonexistent wind. Small glowing things flitted about her, seeming as if they had a mind of their own. They almost seemed to have individual shapes, perhaps you might notice more if you looked closer.

"Welcome, young one. You have been chosen by the King to search for the pieces to the Mythic Mirror."
Your eyes perceived her mouth moving as if through water, distorted and rippled. Her voice carried the same echoing quality as the fluttering before. In her hand, she held a ring of keys. You noticed each key seemed to match one of the mirrors.
"Feel free to ask me any questions you may have. But, do not tarry, for your journey begins soon."

"Who are you?" I ask

(XD *grins, plotting*)

The mirror's surface ripples around you as you enter, and you are suddenly engulfed in a wave black nothingness. You feel yourself being pulled towards something, but you can't see what. Suddenly the world returns and you see again.
You feel fine for a moment but then suddenly you are hit with a pounding headache, and your stomach does flips within you.
You skills and abilities are temporarily rendered useless.
You can't see much through the blur of pain, but a large shape is approaching you, possibly dangerous, but you can't tell.

The lady nodded.
As you peer into the purple mirror, an image appears for an instant, similar to what the blue mirror did.

You see a vast land made almost entirely of purple and pink crystals. There is a glimmering river running through the center of the land. And some of the larger crystal formations look like they might even hold cities within.

Narrators word is law. If I say an attack hit you, you cant then say, I dodged. 3. You cannot do the impossible! If you have been knocked out, you cant go chasing after the perpetrator! 4. Please avoid making a Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu character. 5. Stick to the personality you made for your character. I know its hard sometimes, but try your best! 6. No breaking the rules set by the character sheet! (i.e. no characters that are 12 and have five abilities) 7. No controlling the NPCs, I control them. 8. No swearing/cursing (darn it/dang it, stuff like that is okay). One, your character wouldn't know these words. Two, its not polite to other people. 9. Please be familiar with Krin's Forum rules. 10. The lady suddenly burst into a loud giggle, after a minute, she re-composed herself, smiling broadly and waving for you to rise. "You are a flirtatious one, aren't you? Unfortunately, I am probably a millennia too old for you. My name has been lost to time, but you may call me Herald."

I look into the Green one

The first one you approach is Silver. The rest are the colors of red, blue, green, yellow, black, white, and purple, for a total of eight.
As you peer into the mirror an image appears on its surface for an instant, before disappearing.

She smiled gently, "My name has been lost through the passing of time. You may call me 'Lady' or 'Herald'. I am the guardian of the mirror-portals." She motioned with one hand to the mirrors. There were eight, all twice as tall as you, yellow, purple, red, green, blue, white, black, and silver,

"Oh poo." I mutter to myself, trying to move as I wonder of the shape is dangerous or not. My head hurts, and so does my stomach, so I flop to the ground.
