I started playing yesterday so I'm a new player and I just have a couple of random questions. For one, I have a level 20 experience orb that will give 11,132 experience to a Sylesti under the level of 60 but I have a need more for gold than xp as I'm not a strategic player and my pets die often in battle so I frequent the revive button. What is its worth and would anybody even buy it? And second question, it's to my understanding that a fluffy truffle is a random drop, but how random is it? I got five fairy mushrooms in a row and I don't have a single truffle from the trollsblight area. Has anybody else just kind of given up on that quest and moved on? The area is too low a level to really benefit my pets and I have other quests to complete. Just not sure if I should stick around on that one. Any advice is appreciated thank you!

they're random, but you may have more luck if you're fighting all battles? I know main quest things are only progressed via battling x amount of battles. It may just be you're getting some bad rng (\
As TO battles, part of your problem is probably your equips mostly being uncommon rarity- uncommon equips are, put simply, bad. Additionally, Jezabelle is a fire attacker- a magic/int type-, but has a Physical/Strength relic, so it's buffing the wrong stat.
Hellena being an earth tank should have all gear boosting her Strength and Agility (Strength for move power on a physical element like earth, more damage = leeching vines will absorb more hp per turn when inflicted, Agility = more defence and evasion). Assassin gear is the sort you want to look for.
Jezabelle being a fire attacker needs all gear boosting Intelligence and Dexterity (Intelligence for move power on a magical element, dexterity for accuracy and critical hit chance). Evoker is the sort you want for this pet
When they hit lv25, you can get epic or legendary lv25 gear fairly easily for them- those are generally pretty easy to get from the Trade Broker since they drop from lv25 very hard mission satchels.
Also, on your unnamed mission pets, you'll want to also equip and assign proficiency points to them- Mission outcomes are based on stats, and have a scale grading- Fail, Poor, Satisfactory, Excellent.
Fail gets no reward, Poor gets half reward and no mission satchels, Satisfactory gets base reward and one mission satchel, and Excellent gets double reward and two satchels.
You can see some investigation into mission satchel rewards here, there is a guide to mission pets and missions here
As to the exp orb, yes, people buy them- you can check to see if any have been sold in the last 30 days to get and idea of worth by selecting it and clicking the 'broker item' button to bring up the broker popup in the inventory. If none have been sold in the last 30 days, you can alternately go to the broker and select the exp orb category. As it is, the lowest level exp orb currently in the broker is a lv13 for 10k gold, so not worth much, but that's like, a good chunk of the way towards buying another mission slot, or a better equip or two.
also why did you post a bump? Bumping is for when things fall of the first page of a forum? Your thread was only even up for like, 8 minutes before you posted the bump and nobody else had even made a post to any other thread?

Thank you for all the helpful insight!! I appreciate you breaking everything down for me, I will be adjusting my gear accordingly. As for the bump I actually had posted another question but found the answer to it so I didn't want anyone to think they needed to reply to that, I couldn't find a delete button and I couldn't put just a dot either. It wasn't a real one just one in lieu of a question I answered myself I am so sorry!
