hi! I'm back on the game after a long absence and I've got a few questions cause lots has changed lol.

about the lost grove, is there any tricks to finding all the materials for constructing the different parts of the barracks? or is it always just a painstakingly long process? XD

another question, I have a couple of perfumes of themed attraction for the lost grove, can I use those now to attract themed pets? or will they only spawn during festivals like normal themes..

any other tips and tricks are greatly appreciated!

LG themes can spawn at any time, but have a very low spawn rate- something like 0.005 (don't quote us on that one, it's just real low.)- which is understandable because, well, they can be found at any time of the year. Keeps their rarity up.

Specific resources drop from certain enemies, including some that drop from specific elite/boss groups, although chests can drop most of the lg items (at least the uncommon-epic ones)
It'll get faster as your pets get stronger/better equipped/higher attack ranks because you'll be able to end battles faster, but it is just generally intended to be a bit of a grind

What's your current party? We can check it if you'd like to see if there's anything you could do to make it potentially easier

Quick question Why are they all Air, even though most are equipped for a entirely different elements?
There's pets here that are equipped for being like, shadow tank... but are air element. Or Light healer/fire attacker,,, also air? earth or water tank equipment? Also Air??

Only one of these pets is actually equipped as an air attacker, and half of them are equipped as if they were a Magic element, rather than Physical?

I'm so confused.

Like, if triple-air is working for you, then that's all fine, it's just I've Never actually,,, Seen? a triple-air team? before?
Though with lv75 available and the temple, water/air/air is potentially on the rise, but mostly my confusion stems from the fact that they aren't equipped as if they were all air pets? or even as if they're all physical elements.
Were they previously other elements and you just haven't swapped equipment yet or?

I didn't know specific elements worked better with their aligned equipment tbh what would you recommend I do? it seems to be working out well for me so far but if it could work even better I def wanna know lol

I do see what you're talking about tho, I just never really thought about it before XD

EDIT I changed them around, is that looking a bit better??

Hey! so to add to this, I've been farming n the lost grove for Mission 2 and no matter what I try, the available materials won't increase. I've killed tons of various enemies, and the win screen says I've obtained hundreds of materials, but nothing ever shows up in the barracks and all buildings show "not enough materials". Did I do something wrong?

Godith, I think that would be better for you to post in the bugs forum about? Not someone else's thread that's on a slightly different topic. You'd probably want to also include screenshots for Krin.
If you go to the barracks and scroll down it should show you a list of materials you have. If you're trying to construct something in the barracks it's possible you just don't have enough of one of the required materials, though

Magic elements (fire, light, shadow) use Int and magic damage stats, and so need int-based equips
likewise, physical elements (water, earth, air) use str and physical damage stats.
the Damage stats are calculated using the pet's Str or Int stat, along with the Relic Bonus (eg, air pet has 1000 Str, so it has a 500 Physical Damage stat, and is given a Physical-type relic that gives a +300 Phys Damage Boost, giving the pet a PD stat of 800, from which move outputs are calculated. so for instance its rank 1 Slash does 150% physical damage, so it'd do averagely 1200 damage output per hit (before pitting it against enemy defence)
If the air pet had an int-type equip, aside from the fact that the Str stat would be lower since obviously the equip is boosting Int not Str, it also won't be getting the Relic Bonus to the right stat
So you might have instead a pet that's got like, 900Str, + 0 relic bonus, for a Physical Damage stat of 450. Suddenly that same pet's Slash is doing only 675 damage- over 500 points less damage per turn.

Generally you decide what equipment a pet gets based on it's element combined with its job in battle:
Tanks get Agi gear (Tidal Lord and/or Warden for Water or Earth (depending on if you're looking for more str or more agi), Reaver and/or Lightbringer for Shadow or Light Tanks) because Agility boosts Evasion and defences

Attackers get Dex gear (Storm Caller for Air, Pyromancer for Fire) because as attackers, you want as much damage going out as possible- Dex controls a pet's Accuracy and Critical hit rate.
Both Fire and Air use Crits to inflict their base attacks' debuffs

Light Healers and Water Buffers are generally also equipped like Attackers, unless you expect that they'll be spending some significant amount of time switching into slot 1. This is because they generally benefit more from the accuracy and chance of crits increasing the power of beam/fairy light/bolt/tidal surge, since their Tank pet partner will be taking the brunt of the damage.

(Light Tanks at least can also function with pyro gear, at least when they've got several attack ranks and ranked gear to be able to override incoming damage- I used to run my main team's light healer as healer/tank on a Light/air/fire setup for fighting Dia and Kowlla, two of the cave bosses, with no changes from her usual Healer setup)

(also for note, dex and agi share control of the speed stat equally, so like... having all agi gear won't make a pet faster than a pet with all dex or a pet with agi/dex gear combo)
