Does proficiency experience (or ranking experience or move experience or whatever it is called) change depending on the battle?
Is it affected by:
- Enemy level
- Area of the lost grove you are in
- Number of enemies
- Type of enemy i.e. regular vs. elite vs. boss vs. mega-boss
- Any other factors
Does the experience increase the more times you use the move in battle, or does only one use count?
I cannot find this information anywhere.

Do you mean the hability expertise ? It only change in the grove so training in festival zones or else where wont make it progress at the moment. As far as i am aware you earn a certain amount of exp on an hability each time you use it, the area and enemy themself dosnt matter but since some speacies of ennemy are more tanky it will allow you to gain more expertise simply because you can hit it more before it is defeated, the same could be said about amount and type of ennemy.
When i am speaking of speacies i mean it quite litteraly, by exemple a mycondice and a construct dont take the same amount of hit to get rid off depending of your current team set up.

actually, enemy type does affect it so far as I know? Like, pretty sure. Certainly when I was grinding move 5 on my main team it seemed to go faster in the temple
in the forest and caves:
regular enemy mobs give the lowest amount
Elites give more
I assume the Named/Elite bosses give more than that, and in turn I assume temple bosses/megabosses give a bit more
the base Temple enemies give about as much as an elite from outside the temple, I believe? not sure if what floor you're on affects it (since each floor thus far has higher level enemies)

Move 5 progress and evolve alot faster then the others ones from what i saw, on top of this i belive there was some kind of event when the new part was introduced that boosted 2x the exp witch affect it's progression as well if my memory are correct. As i said more hits = more exp so higher level ennemy or more defencive enemy do give more but most likely due to them being able to take more hits.

Some of that is what prompted me to ask the original question, yes. I was grinding in floor 1 of the temple and it seemed to be much faster and easier to rank up there than the rest of the lost grove.

Exp boosting events don't affect move exp gain so far as I remember, pretty sure Krin dropped into region chat a few days ago to confirm that when it came up. Only expedient learning philters affect it, I think?
And I was comparing the rate of move 5 growth between inside and outside the temple, move 5 being a move you don't... really use outside of bosses, because of the long cooldown.
Like, let's take my main team, and compare to my secondary team
I don't use my secondary team in the temple, at the moment I'm aiming to raise their move 5's to rank 5 via doing elite rounds in the forest and caverns and just. fighting everything, and they are taking a long time raising their 5th move. Meanwhile, watching my main team m5 %'s rise while we were grinding in the temple was absolutely wild. Like, temple encounter rate is way, way slower than outside the temple because f how it's set up, with the 'one fight, walk 4 steps to door, open door, walk a few steps, next encounter' thing, but nevertheless, each battle seemed like an actual noticeable increase to their rank exp
I will go do a science on how much rank exp my secondary team gets ror m5 r4 in battles
...
one 3-enemy battle in the temple gets m5 r4 a +0.05%
one 3-enemy battle in the caverns, by comparison, gets +0.01%
one cavern elite (cave creature) gets +0.04%
since we just ran into her, the queen of hearts gives a whopping +0.15%
one 1-enemy cavern battle makes no visible increase but assumedly is ~+0.0034% (since 3 make .01%)
boss Demora, and 4 golem summons, was 0.30%
So, temple enemies are, indeed, a higher rank exp output
