I've been pretty inactive for a while and haven't been keeping up with the lost grove since soon after the second area was unlocked. How difficult would it be for me to catch up to current content in terms of a time commitment and difficulty of the actual battles required?

My team consists of max stats with shadow/light/air all at level 71 with +1 or +2 vinethorn equipment, and rank 3 or 4 skills. The zone progress task is at stage 12, requiring me to defeat the crystalline behemoth, which I think I tried a while ago and had trouble with. For memory, I found the grind to upgrade the barracks, equipment, and other things required for lost grove progression really tedious, so I don't have many upgrades and any advice or guides anyone can give me for how or what to focus on to progress would be much appreciated.

Out of the lost grove, I'm mostly just interested in the themed pets, although the idea of having a maxed out battle party also appeals to me in theory if I have the time to manage it. The themes mostly seem to have such low populations that hunting for them myself might actually be a better option than purchasing and using public breeding to try and scrape together a project or two since basically nobody seems to be putting themes form the dungeons up for breeding, and it looks like a fairly similar situation when I've tried searching for crafted equipment.

there are people who'll lend gear and/or pets for the woerm fight, but if you don't want to do that I'd recommend getting more ranks for the attacks, and trying to either get Stoneweave gear or upgrade the vt's more (+1 and +2 VT is outranked by base SW). If your training grounds aren't rank 3, that's a good thing to get, same with trading post (since that gets access to lesser ent flasks)

you may want to check the woerm beating teams thread which has links to all the guides (that I am aware of) to the woerm fight, along with the teams that people have used to win the fight etc.

You might have better luck with lg theme pets for breeding via the Pet Marketplace, or PMing people who own pets you would like to breed with to ask if you can.
Crafted equipment, you can likely either try the item marketplace forum rather the broker, or region chat in case anyone has old stuff that they've upgraded from that they'd be willing to lend or sell
