what are the stats on your barracks' Training grounds, temple of light, and trading post?

I personally also use e/l/a team setup, and my strategy is uh, basically just air5, thorncoat when we need to, hit guardian until it's 600-700k hp, decimate, and then mop up the remainder (with TG tier 5 boss buff active, and with ToL tier 5 lights renewal active as a backup) and that... works for me?

There's definitely meant to be more strategy than that to it but, well, I found what worked for me and I've run with it since. It may be I can get away with the strategy because my team has full +5 primal gear, I dunno.
I think it's meant to be that you try to not deal too much damage, block at the high mana, and then I don't know exactly what because it's been a while since I actually had to think during the Guardian fight so it's all kinda just. leaked out of my brain.

Ent Flasks can definitely help, I did use them back before, I do remember that
Even now I use our tier 5 tg buff vs north2+south2 bosses just to make life easier (at least the bosses are the same strength on both floors, rather than getting stronger each floor)
Tier 5 Light's Renewal is Actually Useful unlike all lower tiers of it

My strategy is also "hit it as hard as I can as fast as I can".

Both temple of light and training grounds are at rank 4- I should be able to get rank 5 soon on TG at least
I tried what you described and got wiped out after 4(?) rounds of his healing thing and he ended up at 34%, so much better than I was getting before
I didn't have any ent flasks on or ToL since I had been in the temple a while and the darn guardian is at the furthest point away from spawn point lol. Figured I'll see about upgrading some armor while I'm down and doing some simple tasks.
Hoping Maws will help give me the push I need to level and rank my super stats along with giving me some sweet sweet materials

well, having the ToL's buff won't be particularly useful until you upgrade it to tier 5, since that's when it goes from its buff being "pets have an extremely piddly amount of HP recovered each turn" to "if pet gets hit with something that would KO it, autores with the amount of hp all the remaining number of turns in the buff would have healed. Retain all other buffs the pet had (still heals an extremely piddly amount per turn, but several hundred turns worth of 100hp is a lot when it happens all at once)"

(Getting upgraded primordial relics as the primary gear upgrade is also a good plan, since the damage increase on them is very nice)

question, how many turns do you think it takes you to get Guardian to that 600-700k hp mark?
We use air5 at the very start since we can get Guardian down to that point within the air5's buff timer, since we have fully maxed primordials, and tg5 to boot.
The differences would impact when air5 would be best used, since if your air5 buff runs out then you miss out on the biggest Decimate damage (though it'd still allow for impressive Bleed stack damage- that stuff can get bonkers big)
(like, my air pet's running with a good 1k phys damage more than yours, so we can just. get more damage out faster. I suggest maybe playing with timing of move use, both of using air5 and decimate)
