Just got a legendary armor +5 and one other equipment piece. I swapped it out for my main battle pets and found that I was able to easily defeat the enemies including the lost Grove creature after the pylons are deactivated. But I noticed that after that, any battles suddenly became more difficult to point of a single sprite took all my pet's health and close to 30 turns to Defeat when after the armor was applied took 2 to 3 at most if not 1. Any advice as to what's going on? Tried applying the armor to different pets of higher stats and no luck

Could you link your party pets please? It'll be easier to advise you if we have that information.

It's been a long time since I've done the early Lost Grove areas but I distinctly recall that after beating a certain monster that enemies scale to a higher level to continue making the Lost Grove more of a challenge. I also recall that after you level through the first time it's harder to level more pets as the level increase will be superior to your own pets.

I moved the armor back to the original party that was easily moving through the battles until after the pylons battle. The 2nd party version was even less successful. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

1. After beating behe-boy all forest enemies increase from lv65 to lv70 (73 in the case of the boss enemies) to match the cavern enemies, which is where a sudden difficulty spike would come from. Since two of your team aren't yet lv70 you have the disadvantage, because you don't have that extra prof point on those pets.

2, your team's equips:
Water pet has a Reaver helm, which is for Shadow pets, a lv65 epic (weaker than Exotic gear) and a myrmidon (I generally go for as much agi on my water tanks as I can, personally)

Light has a Primordial +5 Water armor?

Fire has an Assassin accessory

The rest is generally fine though you'd want to upgrade the exotics to at least vintethorns

3. proficiencies
That's... a lot of HP profs? I'd consider those closely, maybe try different setups- 3hp on a light healer would give it a large buffer, but it's at the expense of its Int stat having those prof points, which it needs for high damage stat output. Without the damage stat being high, the moves are weaker, and less healing is gained
(as already mentioned, we personally go agi-heavy on our water tanks, but yours is a wild tamed pet with all the stats that comes with, so she probably does need at least some of that hp buffer)

Attackers- fire and air- are usually 3offense/3dex at lv75, with some people going 1hp/3offense/2dex. As with light, lower int makes for lower output, which in the attacker's case could cause battles to drag out more.

Although I don't know if you made them HP heavy after fighting Behe to try to balance the higher enemy output?

4. some options for leveling the lv69s to 70 are grinding your team up in the entrance area of the grove where you only get 1-enemy mobs, hiring someone to get your two lv69s the remainder of the way to lv70, or fighting in the fest zone (which will also be lv70 since your water pet is, but they have simpler movesets/ less propensity to buffs/debuffs than grove enemies so far less need to think strategically)
