Hey y'all!!
So I've been doing alright so far; I'm in the garden of magnates (think that's how it's spelled) and I'm getting along just fine with fairy mushrooms and the occasional healer. However, I'm playing while glancing through a walkthrough, and it keeps mentioning how I should be using potions during battles. I've tried purchasing these, but they don't seem to appear during battles - I can only see the traps and genetic scanner I have. Is there something I'm missing here?
Thanks for your time!!

ah, Potions cannot be used in battle- in battle, you use Elixirs (general healing) and Draughts (revival). Nut I think part of the issue is that healing items are actually accessed via a different button than traps/scanners, the red-curving-arrow icon/ P key shortcut I believe? might be remembering wrong but I think that's it
(then if I remember the steps right, you select the item, so it highlights, then select the pet you're using it on, and hit 'use item'. If you made a mistake you click the incorrect selection to deselect, rather than just clicking the new selection) (It's been a while since I used the older interface- all areas after regions 1 and 2 run on a newer system and interface that's more comprehensible)
(potions are used out-of-battle only. Likely when the game leaves beta the potion/elixir split will be entirely removed, leaving just "item for healing hp on conscious pet" item type and "item for reviving unconscious pet" item type in various tiers of effectiveness, as that's how it's set up in the most recently released area, the Lost Grove, which is pretty much Krinadon's testing ground for future changes to the systems)
