Hello and welcome to the site!

Some tips I'd suggest are:

- As a newer player, don't buy or breed too many pets immediately. Buying and breeding pets is great, but your stable space is limited until you buy more stable tabs or stables. If you run out of space for pets, you'll end up having your pets released, which costs diamonds for them to be reclaimed. It's best to be careful about the pets you get until you have enough gold coming in to buy extra space.

- Always do the missions that are available in Esior's Haven, and when you reach Umbra Forest, the Sanctuary of Saerielle. This will help you get a steady income of gold.
You'll also receive mission satchels(The amount you get depends on how well you did on the mission), which can contain more gold, potions, elixirs, revival draughts, pet gear, and even pet essences(Which are used to generate pets you design), which can all be very helpful to you.
You can unlock up to 6 mission slots.

- As you progress, make sure you buy all the Party slots for your pets. It'll allow you to have three active party pets at a time which will help make battles easier.

- When equipping gear on your pets, make sure the gear matches the stats of your pets. Such as pets with strength and agility, having gear that has high strength and agility, and not high intelligence and dexterity, if that makes sense.
Epic rarity gear and above is typically the best route to go once you're able.

- As your pets level up, make sure you assign all their proficiency points. Pets get 1 point at level 0, then gain more at levels 30, 60, 65, 70, and 75, if I remember correctly.

- If you're struggling with any parts in the game, look in the Player Guides(This is a clickable link to that forum) forums. There are lots of guides in this forum section that can help a lot if you're stuck and need some help.

- To post a clickable link if you ever need to, use the blue URL button in the forums and PMs to do so.
The easiest way to do this is to copy and paste the link you're trying to post, highlight it, then click the button, and it'll instantly put the brackets around the link for you.
It would look like this, minus the periods in the brackets I used to keep the example from turning into a link;
[url.]https://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=2808307[/url.]

- To post an image if you need to, in the forums or PM, press the blue IMG button. An easy way to do this is to copy the image address, paste it, highlight it, then press the button, and it'll immediately put the brackets around the image for you.
To adjust the image size, add at the end of the address (&size=250)*This is typically the standard size*, or whatever size you need the image to be.

Like this(The (&size=250) in bold for clarification);

https://www.sylestia.com/image_builder_pet.php?species=qitari&gender=male&E=4&gd1=NN&gd2=NN&gd3=NN&md1=MM&md2=NN&md3=HH&ec=010300&c1=50514F&c2=070808&c3=7B0808&c4=070808&c5=7B0808&gd1c=5c2767&gd2c=ea265d&gd3c=bcf055&md1c=700302&md2c=b268bc&md3c=790507&ac=304366&ac2=304366&maturity=648&costume=companion_yuletide_corgi_rudolph&unconscious=&size=500&owned=1(&size=250)

With the IMG brackets, it would look like this, excluding the periods used to keep the brackets visible;

[img.]https://www.sylestia.com/image_builder_pet.php?species=qitari&gender=male&E=4&gd1=NN&gd2=NN&gd3=NN&md1=MM&md2=NN&md3=HH&ec=010300&c1=50514F&c2=070808&c3=7B0808&c4=070808&c5=7B0808&gd1c=5c2767&gd2c=ea265d&gd3c=bcf055&md1c=700302&md2c=b268bc&md3c=790507&ac=304366&ac2=304366&maturity=648&costume=companion_yuletide_corgi_rudolph&unconscious=&size=500&owned=1(&size=250)[/img.]

- When you're responding to someone in the forums, hit the blue @ at the bottom of their post, it'll ping them and notify them you responded to them.

- If you need a pet genetically tested(This will show if it has carried or hidden traits, or reveal mutations before the pet is an adolescent, or reveal mutations that are carried or have hidden traits), look in Groups, Guilds, Clubs, and Services(Clickable link) forum. Many users, including myself, offer free testing to those who don't have Exceptional Genetic Test Kits.

- You can buy Diamonds(The site's premium currency), on the Currency Exchange(Clickable Link), for gold. Diamonds can be used to buy stables and other Diamonds Shop items.

- You can buy an array of different items for gold off the Trade Broker(Clickable Link). So if you're ever looking for something you may need, such as gear, pet dyes, genetic mutators, avatar items, etc, you can look there.

Sorry for such a long post, I wanted to try and explain quite a bit. Mainly things I've seen new users struggle with. ^^

Welcome to Sylestia, Loak!!

It looks like the user above me has explained pretty much everything. Here's the list I generally use, in case I have something new or phrase things differently!!

~~~
1: I reccomend holding off on breeding/trapping pets unless you're really hooked on them. When you're newer, it's harder to earn gold and expanding stables can be costly. If you don't have the space, pets will be automatically released and it costs diamonds (hard to earn currency) to get them back. Unless they're themed, of course. Those are pretty cool :)
2: Town Healers are the biggest scam ever. As somebody who dumps money on them. . . don't. Your pets will automatically revive after fifteen(ish?) minutes and you can use potions/elixers/mushrooms/whatever for free.
3: Do missions. Grab a few extra pets that are high leveled (i can send one over if you want) and send them on missions. They'll earn you a lot of extra gold, which is very benifical.
4: If you need gold, explore Trollsblight Caverns. (once you get there.) All of the treasure chests have gold - no traps - so you're fine. Actually, I think everything but the dungeon is like that, but I might be wrong.
5: Feel free to ask for help. Sylestia is one of the best communities I've encountered, and there are many players who will devote time and energy into giving you a solution to your problems. (Feel free to pm me!!)
~~~

Overall, welcome to Sylestia! If you need/want anything, feel free to ask. Also, if you want to reply to this, click the @ button so it notifies me!

Hope you have a great rest of your day/night!!

When you can you want to unlock pet slots 2 (purchasable as soon as you can access Esior's Haven, by going to the plaza) and 3 (once you have access to Sanctuary of Saerielle's plaza)

Knowing how the different elements, team setups, equips, etc work is pretty important
Magical elements (Fire, light, shadow) use Magical Damage stat and Intelligence
Physical elements (Water, air, earth) use Physical Damage stat and Strength
The element of a pet determines what party position it will be best at, and what proficiencies and equips will be best for it.
Earth, for example, is a dedicated Tank- they typically go in slot 1, where enemies are most likely to target them over their teammates. They're a low damage output element, best when supported by a Light Healer, with their main focus being drawing all enemy fire so their teammates don't get hit.
They do best with gear that focuses on Strength (controls move output) and Agility (controls defence and evasion stats, shares speed equally with the dexterity stat) (Assassin gear being the primary type for them until they hit lv60 and can start equipping Lost Grove equips). Proficiencies are usually HP and Agility.

Both the level and rarity of an equip affects the stats (for example Uncommon rarity gear of any level is. not good, very low stats. It's less noticeable at low levels)

(I can go in more detail if needed)
