Hi! I'm a bit confused on how traits are determined from breeding.
If I bred two pets with the exact same traits all visible it would be 100% guaranteed that I'd get offspring with the same traits all visible?
What if I bred two pets with all visible but different traits. For example if pet 1 had gene 1 as one thing visible and pet 2 had gene 1 as something different visible what would happen? Would I have a 50/50 to get either traits visible or would I start having the potential of having carried traits?
Thank you!

Sylestia works on punnett square/mendelian genetics
Dominance starts with N (Nothing/no vis) then proceeds down the alphabet, with A as the most dominant, so N > A > B > C > D > etc.
so say pet 1 has G1 AC and pet 2 has G1 BD
then the offspring could have any of the following:
AB, AD, BC, CD, at a 25% chance for each
a pet with G1 NC and one with G1 BD could have
NB, ND, BC, or CD
etc.
Basically, every pet has two letters for each trait, with the more dominant letter being the first and thus the visible characteristic. An offspring will randomly inherit one of the two letters from each trait slot from each parent, which then sort in dominance order (so you never get, say, BA or DC)
(if a pet is not genetically tested you cannot see Hidden (eg, C in AC, D in BD) or Carried (eg, NA, NB) traits listed in the genetics section (showing as AA or BB or NN or whatever), but they are still there and can be inherited regardless)
you can see more in-depth here (post 10, should link directly to it, but I'll say anyway in case image loading leaves you elsewhere)

Thank you for the explanation! If I understood correctly then I can breed two pets with all visible traits and even if the traits are different I will still for sure get an offspring with all visible traits but also carried traits in the same slot.

breeding two 6v pets will result in a guaranteed 6v option, yep
Though the typical usage of words is that
Carried trait refers to a trait in a slot where the dominant letter is N, a no-vis slot (NA, NB)
Hidden trait refers to a slot with a second, recessive trait's genetics covered by a more dominant trait (AB, BC)
(if a pet is tested and both letters are the same (AA, BB) then that isn't referred to as having a carry or hidden, since it's the same trait in both letter slots)
Soit would be that two 6vs could make offspring with Hiddens, rather than Carrieds (though it's not strictly wrong to call a hidden a carry, it's just the usual vernacular usage in order to easily distinguish between them)
