Hello everyone! We will be holding design contests once again for the Spring Festival! Please make sure to read the rules carefully!
Rules
1. Design a pet gene for any species of your choosing and come back and post the image in this thread. To get a blank pet image just go to the generator page and take the image from there. You can resize the image to the maximum size via the image url, the maximum size is 500.
2. You must draw the gene on the pet. In case your drawing skills aren't great then along with your drawing you can include a description to better help us envision your gene. If you are unable to draw something, then I am sorry, there will be no exceptions.
3. You are allowed to be free in your creative process, but designing around the Spring Festival is encouraged.
4. Please do not reserve posts. If you reserve a post I will delete your post.
5. Before submitting your entry please make sure to scan the thread to see if someone else has done something similar. Try to make your entry unique and if someone has already done something that you were wanting to do...then I highly suggest you pick something different.
6. You may only submit ONE official entry. If you wish to submit more then you can send me a PM with drawings of your gene idea. However all PMed entries that are sent to me will not count for prizes.
7. The end date is February 5th 2014 at 12AM server, after that the thread will be locked.
Prizes
All entries that are picked will have the gene created and will receive a Mystical Essence of the submitted species. Everyone that participates will also receive a participation prize.
Don't comment on someone's entry unless you have something nice to say. If someone copies your entry then have faith in us that we will determine the correct winner. Please do not fight over entries, if I see anyone doing this in the thread then whoever is fighting will be disqualified.

With brown fur and deer like feet. this gene could be called deer or something better I guess. With their feet colored black look just like hooves. So my point is that when spring is near I think of baby animals and one of my favorites is the deer. With beautiful brown fur they have such grace running though the woodland.
Hope you like it. Also their ears are tipped black halfway in case its hard to see. The white is easy to distinguish with the brown.

Okay so here is mine,I call it rainbowfog!:
I thought that since some clothes you can't change the color this would be okay but if it isn't just tell me.The other idea would be to put rainbows around the orbs so yeah I can draw that.
I was actually thinking about MLP when I drew this,Rainbowdash.....

Here's my entry, which is a fawn gene for the faelora. I left my tablet when I came home for a bit so it's not particularly well done, but it's meant to look like the white markings on a fawn.

My first ever artistic submission on a website for anything. By the way, drawing with a mouse is soooper difficult (especially a wireless one that loves to go into sleep mode) lol.
I hope I got the picture size and formatting for a gene correct? I think that is where the placement would be?
I call this Ribbon Song Hmmm strike that... sounds too much like the bulbori ribbon mutation. Maybe something like Spring Sash
I would love it if there were ribbons and little bows wrapped around the ankles (almost like ballerina shoes..but that is sooo far beyond my drawing capabilities.) Hmmm nevermind, I think that the ballerina shoes might be better suited for a mutation and not a gene. Plus, I just saw Chikoo12007's Zolnixi mutation submission and my feet ribbons and bow tie ballerina shoes are too similar to that.
So I guess just the body sash design for my submission.

Alright, so mine isn't very spring-oriented, but I liked the idea.
This gene is called Appaloosa (Or Scale spots) and it would probably occupy Gene Three with Double Fade and Striped Scales. It would use whatever color was chosen for that Gene and would be the same for male and female.
And by the way, I chose to use a colored base, the red is my edit.

Dragonfly Gene
Ignore my color choices, I was copying a picture I found online. Where I live, spring is when all the dragonflies come out to play. (So for like.... 2 whole weeks =D)
Here is the picture I was using for reference (and credit!).
