So I mostly understand the basics of Ice Sculpture carving: it will gain any of 3 conditions every 30 minutes, using and item to fix the condition increases progress by 1 hour and increases quality up to perfect, and maintaining a perfect quality allows you to accumulate bonus towards any out of 2 total bonuses.

Where the confusion starts for me is the Bonus mechanic itself. I can see just by having processed a few statues that the bonus % increases at 2 for every 1% of status completion. Does this mean one has to maintain perfect status on their statue for 100% of the time in order to get both bonuses? How is this even possible? Obviously nobody is going to be awake every 30 minutes for the entire time their statue is being carved I feel like theres something Im missing. Can anyone fill me in?

Also, can anyone tell me what that Bonus actually is? :0

From the time a sculpt starts wanting to be tended it takes 2? hours before it drops down a quality stage.
Sculptures take a base time of 288 hours to finish. So long as you're relatively on top of keeping sculpts tended while you have available time (eg, keeping a timer and tending just when they start to need tending so as to get the most possible opportunities to tend) sleeping shouldn't be an issue (and you can always see if anyone in the chats is willing to keep an eye on them for periods you'll be away for one reason or another (sleep, work, whatever)
(I don't know the exact timings/percentages on when bonuses hit when kept carefully tended this fest, though, having not done any sculpts yet. The feel of the timing can vary both fest to fest and year to year)

As the overview lists, the bonuses are
bonus 1: stat boost (equal to two fairy dust boosts)
bonus 2: (regular/fabled sculpts) a bonus carried trait, OR (majestic sculpts) a second stat boost the same as bonus 1

I keep up on my statues but inevitably overnight while Im asleep, the quality drops down to Normal again, and the most Ive been able to get is 1/2 bonuses. Setting an alarm every hour is simply not an option for me since I work and cant go pulling an all nighter - so maybe Ill try your suggestion of finding someone to watch them. Thanks again!
