I'm kinda new here and im currently at the Bandit's Campsite and im trying 2 defeat Lord Talon's Vulrnx, but my 2 party pets keep on being defeated (they are level 23/22). Can someone pls help me?:( (im kinda new here so keep da explanation simple.)

First question: Can you list (/link) your party pets and their party order? This will help with analysis

Goldenclaw:Second slot and level 22
Btw both are Zolnixi.

You should go to the fairy or fungus or whatever its called grove and level up your legs till around level 29 I did that and it worked. Good luck!

1. Snowy, being an Air pet, shouldn't really be in slot 1 generally speaking, since that's the Tank position slot (enemies have a preference for aiming for that slot).
Air is a dedicated attacker element with no healing outside of mend (at least until very very very late game), and wants all its points focused into Strength and Dexterity, which means lower defences and evasion than is optimal for a pet doing tanking

2. Equipment is very important (especially relics, which give a respectable bonus boost to the damage stat- used to calculate a pet's move output- that the equip is aligned with).

Snowy currently has an uncommon lv15 illusionist (int/agi) relic and an epic lv5 evoker (int/dex) relic.
These equips are not good for her because:
- both of them are Magic/Intelligence aligned equips, while she is a Physical/Strength element (which means she also can't make use of the relic's damage stat boost, since it's raising the wrong damage stat).
- level/rarity is low (uncommon equips are. garbage, in general)

As a Strength pet, she wants Myrmidon (Str/Dex) gear, which raises her damage output by 1. raising her Str, and in turn her Physical Damage Stat, and 2. raising her accuracy and her critical hit chances (and her speed, which Dex and Agi share equal control of)


Goldenclaw's equip situation is bad in that they're both lv5 uncommons, though they are at least Int-aligned equips.
Since he would preferably be the pet in slot 1, he'd do best with Illusionist (int/agi) gear (int, predictably, raising his magical damage stat and thus his move output, and thus, the amount of healing he does. Agi raising his defences and his evasion)

(He also would probably do better with Int prof rather than HP, since, again, higher int = higher magic damage stat = higher move damage output = more healing from beam)


TLDR:
Snowy = Air = attacker = Myrmidon gear = str/dex = slot 2 or 3
Goldenclaw = light = tank and/or healer = Illusionist and/or Evoker gear = int/agi and/or int/dex = slot 1 if tanking primary, slot 2 or 3 of non-tank healer


I grabbed some equips from the broker and tossed them over (since I uh, don't have any stuff under lv25 that's tradeable), though they'd be best replaced at lv25 when you can equip lv25 epic/legendary gear

Disciple gear isn't as good overall as the more focused equip types, but it works as a placeholder

As we listed in the tldr, myrmidon is str/dex type gear, and is what goes on air attacker pets, which is what Snowy is.

Disciple is a placeholder type of equip that has less overall boost than the more focused types (though relics give the same amount of bonus to the damage stats as the focused types), so both pets can use a disciple relic each until they are lv25 and can equip lv25 gear

You can see what an equip is- equip name and stats- by hovering over it if you're on pc. (I know it can also be done somehow on non-pc, might be clicking and holding? I don't know since I don't use mobile)
