Hi does dis happen to anyone else? When i try to breed my two luffoxes it always turns up a female even if i choose male of the gender and same with my zolnixies. Why does dis happen?

It's always a 50:50 chance for the gender, so it just comes down to luck. So you're lucky/unlucky, depending on how you see it lol

Trying to work this out, since it's not phrased in a way that's clear to me, but I THINK I get it
What gender hatches from an egg is entirely random, a 50/50 chance *
the Preview option on the breeding grounds page does not have any effect on what is produced, it just shows you what potential outcomes could be
*(save for if the egg was made via a fest's pet creating activity and had a gender locking item such as "Sugar and Spice" or "Blue Goo" (what they're called varies by fest) used on it)
