A Guide To The Diabolical Pumpkins Event
***This event is still being worked on, so this guide is subject to change.***
I'm running lvl75, fully ranked w/ fully upgraded primo gear & supermaxes.
So do bare that in mind!

Everything you see in Zone Progression is communal.
Aside from the Attraction Bonus, Mystic Pumpkins counter & Defeat Headless Horseman task.

-

Stage 1
Attraction Bonus
It only goes up when you defeat Hallowed Reapers.
(It goes up 5% for around every 25 HR you defeat)
Increases your chances of finding Zombified Themes.
Resets once you encounter a Zombified Themed inside the Portal Areas.
(As it's only effective within the Portal Areas)

-

Defeat Hallowed Reapers
Very self-explanatory, defeat HR to increase % to 100%.
Once it reaches 100%, at the next 5min tick, there will be a 10 min timer counting down to stage 2.
During this countdown, you can see the portals in 3 spots.
Ignore the varying qualities of these images lol
-
One in the Hay Maze

One in the Ruins

One in the Caves

-

Stage 2
You have 20 mins to survive.
Keep all 3 portal's power at 100%
Defeat Pumpkin Minions.
Having a party set up of Tank/Light/ Air or Fire is recommended for Tiers 4-5,
maybe 3.
(If you don't want to use potions/elixirs too often)

Light or Water/Cannon/Cannon might work for Tiers 1-3, although have not tested.

Depending on the tier, Pumpkin Minions can come in parties of 1-3, a Zombified Themed can appear with them.
Tiers 1-3 tend to see 1-3 Pumpkin Minions, whilst Tiers 4-5 always (? Have yet to see anything below 3) see 3 Pumpkin Minions.
They drop 1 Mystic Pumpkin each. Each one serves as 1%.
They can also drop the following:
Salvaged Catalysts
Chocolate Coins
Mystery Brew Catalysts

As for a strategy, take them down one by one, rather than all at one.

If you would like to sit out of this event, there are safe places!
Anywhere that isn't in the Portal Areas, is a safe place.
If you are encountering Pumpkin Minions in a place where you think they shouldn't be,
it is either because you are in the Portal Area, or it's a bug & should contact Krin about it.

You use the MPs you gather to put in the portals, however when you put them in, it will automatically go down every minute.
Once a portal reaches 100%, you'll have to maintain it.
Be sure put any MPs you have in the portal near the end, as they disappear after the event is over.

Each portal that reaches 100% increases your chances of finding a themed in the area that the 100% that's active. When all 3 portals are at 100%, the chances are increased even more.

Perfumes do stack!!!

-

Stage 3
You have 10 mins to defeat the Horseless Horseman OR use perfumes to hunt for Themes.
I've found that Earth or Water/Air/Light works, however if you've defeated the HH with a different party set up, feel free to post it here!

I have been using earth/water/fire quite easily, no knockouts. All fully ranked/full *5 primo gear. Tried water/fire/fire and earth/fire/fire to no avail. Extra note- when he moves into the second stage he and horse are given full health and all debuffs are cleared so its a waste to try to use mana attacks on the move before

keeping track of how many times i fight him and if i get pet drops
5x-2p

First, you wanna have full mana going in.
Block first turn, & every time he reaches 0 mana.
If you use Water you don't need to block if you use the ice sphere/shield to absorb the attack.
& if you're struggling, block middle pet at 50 mana as well.
If you use Earth, keeping him taunted helps.

After you take him down, then comes the second stage, where he splits into the Demonic Steed & Headless Horseman, both at full health.
Again, maintain the same strategy as before, applying it to both
Take down the DS first. If you're using lvl75 Air or Fire, it's best to use the 5th ability at this stage.
Continue until they're defeated.

-

These are the rewards he drops.
He can also drop Halloween Themed & the Cultist's Ceremonial Watcher (Pumpkin Jack),
although not guaranteed.

-

You can encounter Zombified Themes outside of designated Portal Areas during Stage 3.

-

Misc notes:
-There is a bug in stage 2 where you enter battle with no enemies, making you stuck in battle. The only way to combat this is to skip on all pets in battle.
If you encounter this bug, please report it to this thread.

-

If you feel that something should be added or is missing, do lmk, as this is my first time creating a guide.

Level Difficulty
If you can provide missing info, please ping me!

The default set Tier is Tier 3 (Lvl 66-70), of which can be changed via the Orb of Champions.

Tier 2 (Lvl 60-65)
Pumpkin Minions are at lvl #, health at #.
Headless Horseman is at lvl #, health at #.

Tier 3 (Lvl 66-70)
Pumpkin Minions are at lvl #, health at #.
Headless Horseman is at lvl #, health at #.

Tier 4 (Lvl 71-75)
Pumpkin Minions are at lvl 75, health at 300k.
Headless Horseman is at lvl #, health at #.

Tier 5 (Lvl 75+)
Pumpkin Minions are at lvl 78, health at 400k.
Headless Horseman is at lvl 78, health at 1.2mil.

confirming that the held is not a guaranteed drop- I've beaten him three times and it's just been the regular boring stuff

fought him with our main team, earth/light/air, not sure I can add anything to the fight info since it's pretty boring and straightforward seeming (I say as a person who has beaten Vexxar with said team). Mostly jst seems like a more easy (since no need to do slot juggling) but more hp version of temple horseman I guess
