Create a Sylestia Valentine

No Reserving Posts

1. You must create a Sylestia themed Valentine using real life arts and crafts. Any types of materials may be used as long as your finished item is Sylestia themed and resembles a Valentine.

2. You must provide at least 3 progress pictures of the creation of your Valentine. Each picture must include your Sylestia Username and the Date. You must upload your pictures to an image uploading site, such as http://imgur.com. Failing to follow this rule will automatically disqualify your entry.

3. In order to qualify as an entry, the entry must look like it actually required effort. Please do not just throw something together in 5 minutes with the goal of just simply earning the Participation Prizes. Faiona and I will be the sole judges of what we deem to qualify or not. We obviously are not going to be judging on skill for this part so as long as you actually put forth effort to make something, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. We just want to see everyone who participates put forth some effort as we feel that makes the Prizes fair to everyone. =)

4. You must submit your own entry. You cannot share an entry with other Players. You can, however, work together with other players on your own entries. You just have to of been the one to make it and the one to submit it.

5. The due date for submitting your entry is by the end of the Week of Love Event.

Prizes

There will be prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers. All entries will be judged and the winners will be selected by the Admins.

There will be a Participation Prize as well.

Hopefully, I did this all correct. I decided to make a card, since I enjoy pop-up cards.

Materials (forgot the markers and coloured pencils)


Built the base 'stand' and sketched a ryo.


Inked the ryo sketch for colouring


Coloured ryo and drew some of the candy hearts

I've always wanted to upcycle one of those little boxes of chocolates, so I'm taking that chance now!

Box + beads... I tried to match the palette to the Charming Cherub nixi theme, but I was "borrowing" beads from a friend so my colors were a bit limited.

Well, this is the first time I did a dragon puppet! Hopefully I got it correctly

Preparation:

Making the puppet base - this is the hardest step I have ever made

Then, designing the dragon (Ny'vene Valentines version)
Draw, color them and cut them off


Then stick them together on the base

Finished! :D

I decided to make candy hearts, themed after the candy hearts that we combine for Week of Love rewards!

First we have pink and orange.


Then yellow and green, and writing the Valentine's on pink and orange with an edible marker. Also added edible glitter dust to make them sparkly. <3


Then blue and finishing yellow and green. You'll notice that we went from 5 orange to only 3 in the box...yeah, I had a candy thief in the kitchen. :P


Finished the hearts! In the spirit of how it usually goes collecting hearts, I made the numbers of each different...looks like I've got a few extra Be Mine's to trade. Looking for Puff-Adorable and XOXO.


And we have a full set to combine!


You can see the glitter dust a bit better in this one. Now to give this sweet treat Valentine to my boyfriend! ^^ A box full hearts because my heart is full of love for him. <3

Made a little Sylvorpa valentine toy. Kind of more of a proof of concept than anything, but I like the idea of it, think I can tweak it to make it better, but the first result is pretty cute, if I do say so myself.

All the basic bits, lined up.



Sewn together, just the started the details but hadn't finished yet.

She's a little crooked, but I think it just kinda makes her look inquisitive, lol.

Hope this counts, but I wanted to do a little origami. I can't quite figure out an exact ligh yet but I can do a cat which is very similar! I will update if I can make it look better. Pocket heart with ligh insert, and a cute little flower.
